You did nothing.

I'd like to call out everyone that drove past my mom today after she fell off her bicycle and did nothing. I hope you never have an accident where you need help. She needed an ambulance, which she called for on her own. Luckily she didn't hit her head, luckily she just broke and dislocated her arm, luckily she didn't lose consciousness. I hope you never need help, I hope you never lay on the side of a road watching helplessly as everyone ignores you.
To the people that seen her fall and did nothing, you suck.

Family Outting to Downtown Ouellette raises concern

My husband and I decided to take our kids to the downtown farmers market on Saturday. It was around 1130 in the morning and we started by parking on Ouellette and park area. As we got out of our vehicles it wasn't long as I had to grab my 4 year old daughter up in my arms as there were quite a few homeless people who looked rather dishevelled, strung out and worrisome to come across. One, as I stopped to attend to my daughter looked as though he wanted to grab my purse or reach in purse from a side if I hadn't turned around and looked him in the face. Shortly after, another group of three homeless people sitting on the sidewalk appeared to spit in our direction for no apparent reason whatsoever. As we walked to the corner of pelliser and park towards the farmers market there was another homeless person packed with a shopping cart. Then we noticed quite a few police officers on bikes who appeared to be tended to the homeless man. It was such a wake up call to my family on how hard this city has been affected by drug use and the alarming rate of homeless people. Kuddos to the Windsor police for keeping our family safe by just being present in the downtown area where we were at the time. You guys made it manageable. We definitely will have to reconsider weather or not to go again to the market as the safety of my family is number one.

Poor manners

My mom, a family friend and I took my children to the Canada Day parade. We went early, found a good parking spot and set up to watch the parade. Just as it started, a group of girls, around 12 years old, stepped out in front of us to stand on the road. They were completely blocking our view. My mom asked them to please step back or sit down, and they did. For about a minute. Then they were up on their feet, blocking our view again. I asked them to please step back or sit down twice. Both times they looked at me, saw that they were blocking the view for my child who was sitting on my lap, and didn't move an inch. Our family friend overheard one of the girls say that her mom told her to ignore us. So, not only were these rude tweens blocking me and my small children from watching the parade, they were being encouraged to be rude by their own parents. When they left, these girls left a pile of trash where they'd been standing: candy wrappers, smashed suckers, discarded fliers, drink cups. Not to worry, though, my children and I picked it up. To make matters worse, these girls were wearing team t-shirts. With their names clearly printed on the back. I'm really disappointed to see a local girls' sports team to be braving in such a poor manner.

Lacking Empathy

Today, June.25 on Alsace Avenue I was waiting to turn into the full parking lot at the Windsor Cancer Centre. A place that no one parked in that lot wants to be. I had my signal on to indicate that I would be turning in as soon as the attendant gave me the ok.
You were impatient and honked at me to move. You had plenty of room to go around me. After you decided to use some common sense and go around, the passengers in your vehicle ( a black compact SUV) shot me the finger.
The cancer centre is not a fun place to go. I was going for my 15 month follow up appointment. I felt sick to my stomach and my anxiety was high. When I go for my follow ups I hold my breath and pray that I get good news. I fought a really hard battle and pray that I never have to do it again.
I hope that if you ever happen upon that situation again that you will think twice before getting impatient . Show a little empathy.
And, I hope for your sake that you are never the one waiting to get a spot in the cancer centre parking lot.

To the lady leaving Zehrs at Lauzon Rd Tuesday at 4:40pm

To the lady who was exiting Zehrs yesterday (June 18th) on Lauzon Rd at around 4:40pm, who either jokingly or was serious when you said "Don't worry lady, i'm not going to rob you" actually really effected me afterwards.

From my point of view, this is what transpired.
I was leaving Zehrs, and i was deep in thought. My mum is in the hospital dying of cancer and I was actually debating if the 2 boxes of Chamomile Tea I bought her would be enough or should I head back in and pick up some more. I was also displeased because the second reason I was at Zehrs was to pick up formula for my baby and it was not in stock.
I noticed a person out of the corner of my eye and thought that I might have stepped in front of you because I wasn't paying attention. I looked back to make sure I had given you enough space to walk and noticed you were walking fast and thought you were in a hurry so I attempted to move over. You then proceeded to say "Don't worry lady, i'm not going to rob you". I was completely taken back because i had no clue what was happening. I tried to explain what was actually happening and you repeated what you said and walked away, but not before giving me a look of utter disgust.

Now i'm not sure if you were only joking or if you were serious, but I found it very hurtful and uncalled for. Your tone implied I was being racist in your opinion because I looked back and attempted to move over. I also had a short handle purse, and if my hand was on it (the same arm it was draped over), it was only to keep it from falling off my shoulder. Not clutching it because I thought you were going rob me.

Please be more careful in the words you choose to say to people, you don't know what their thinking or going through. I also apologize if my actions were misinterpreted, I was actually attempting to be polite but it did't come across that way to you. But you also cant bite off everyone's head who looks at you, that seems like a really stressful way to live.

To the person who broke into our shed

To the person who broke into our shed.

Thanks for stealing a bunch of our stuff and leaving your crappy bike behind. If you want it back you can return our things. Thanks for being an awesome human being and breaking in our door!
If people can look out for a newer bike we won from Tim's it's red. Pictured below is the bike left behind If anyone recognizes who it belongs to.

Dark grey Jeep Patriot on Cabana

To the dark grey Jeep Patriot who drives up Cabana almost every morning around 7:50am.

You are so impatient. You try to pass everyone and speed up into the left turning lane on Cabana when the light is red. When the light turns green you start speeding and you go STRAIGHT trying to pass everyone in the straight lane. You cannot go straight out of a left turning lane? You've done this multiple times. One day someone is going to merge into that lane before you do and you're going to cause an accident.

I've even seen you try to merge into a turning lane extremely fast infront of a huge bulldozer and he had to slam on his brakes and swerve into the left lane causing us all to slam on our brakes to avoid an accident.

You are SO impatient it is ridiculous. If you're in that much of a hurry, leave a little earlier. I'm tired of you putting my life and everyone else's life at risk every morning on my way to work. Wait in the proper lane like the rest of us have to.

You're going to kill someone!
