Our Accident Angel

Spotted : Earlier today at around 1pm, my Fiance and I got into an accident on Provincial infront of Leons. One young woman witnessed it and ran to check on everyone. Thankfully, no one was badly injured, however, I did get some solid whiplash and was feeling it. This girl stood with me the entire time holding my hand and making me laugh, and ultimately calming me down. We just want to thank her. She made such a rough situation so much more bearable. We want her to know how appreciated her presence was today and how grateful we are.

Spotted : This evening I took my 2 daughters ages 7 & 8 out for girls night. They were supposed to go to their dads for Christmas tonight however he cancelled. My girls were pretty upset so I said let's go have some fun. Now I mean with Christmas just passing by spending extra money was not in the cards, but I felt compelled to brighten their night. So we went into my go to place Nail Tech. So I sat there with my daughters they had their nails done for New Years Eve and I had mine down as well. While we were there, another woman and her daughter were there getting their nails done. They finished first, as the woman was leaving she decided to pay for my 2 daughters nail appt. She didn't say a word just paid and went on her way. As I am a regular there the tech was like do you know her? No not at all, why? And then she told me. I just about burst into tears. We needed this. My children needed to know that there are amazing people in the world and they do things for no recognition, just the thought of making someone else happy. Well you sure did make our night. It sparked up a bunch of great conversations and she made an a amazing impression on my children's lives tonight.
I wasn't able to catch the lady in the parking lot - but who ever you are out there you were an angel in disguise tonight. Thank you for adding some bright light to our night out ❤️❤️❤️✌️✌️

Amazing employee at dollar tree Lasalle

Spotted : I was shopping at the dollar tree in Lasalle and had a very helpful young man help me he was super friendly and efficient and he even helped me carry stuff out to my car, nobody does that anymore, I see him often and he's my favorite cashier, always makes friendly small talk and thanks me for shopping there, I believe his name is Justin, you've been spotted! They are lucky to have you and more employees should be like you! One of the reasons I prefer shopping at this store is his service

Spotted : Well after a day shopping for supplies for a new bathroom we decided to stop for dinner at Appleby's. They were busy but we didn't mind. Watched a little playing hide a seek with my hubby. When we went to leave our waitress informed us that our bill had been taken care of! Yes we could not believe it. The parents bought our dinner. Well we paid it forward with a generous tip. Thank you again whoever you are. Made our day!

Paramedics at Starbucks

Spotted : On this damp Christmas eve, Starbucks was pretty busy @ tecumseh and roseville, as me and my daughter went to use our gift cards! There was a dad and his 5 year old boy standing next to a man and woman in paramedic uniforms. The lady started chatting with the little boy which clearly made his day, and as the paramedics left in the ambulance they could see the little boy watching them through the window with his stuffy toy and they flashed the lights on the ambulance. I watched that little boys face light up brighter than a Christmas tree! I just wanted to shout out those paramedics for clearly making that boys day! He loved seeing the cool lights!!!

Kindness Given In a Heartbreaking Moment

Spotted : I was shopping at the Dollarama next to Movati yesterday when I received devastating news about my cousin that just passed away from a horrible car accident. I broke down in Dollarama and once I gathered myself, I had to check out because I knew I wouldn't be able to come back before Christmas after receiving such heartbreaking news. The cashier saw I was distraught and asked me if I was okay and if everything was OK and what she could do to help me. I broke down and told her what I had just found out, and she asked if she could hug me. She gave me the tightest hug and let me cry on her shoulder. Then a customer walked up to me and told me she had seen me crying and asked if she could give me a hug. She said, I'm not sure what happened, but just know you are loved. I broke down in this strangers arms who squeezed me and hugged me and gave me a kiss. I thanked them both and walked out. The customer saw me in my car - I had left my door open because I was hyperventilating, and she came to check on me. She offered to take me somewhere or drive me home. She didn't want to leave me in my state. Once I assured her I would be ok, I shared with her about my cousins tragic and sudden passing. She asked for his name and asked if she could pray for him. I told her I would appreciate it. And I thanked her again.

Honestly, my interaction with both the cashier and customer gave me such comfort in such a tragic and devastating moment. I didn't catch either of their names, but if you read this, you will know who you are and know that your act of kindness comforted me more than you can imagine. I thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

My purse

Spotted : Last night I went to Walmart on Dougall on my break and I left my purse in the cart outside, with nearly $400 cash in it.

Worst Transit System in Ontario

Spotted : The city's transit system only seems to be getting worse as the months pass. For as far back as I can remember catching a bus at a certain time of day is impossible. They're overcrowded and they will fly right past you. Making you miss your next connecting bus.
Even if we leave a bit earlier in hopes to not have this problem. Ya, that's a joke.
It doesn't help that people keep voting the useless mayor back into office. He is a bigger joke making Transit Windsor looking absolutely ridiculous.
We need a better schedule for them too. I miss having a job out in Old Castle never mind out on South Walker Rd. Those busses out on that route are fewer than throughout the rest of the city. Making it also hard to maintain good timing to and from work. Don't even get me started on trying to catch the last bus out that way for those on the afternoon shift for the factories have about 15-20 minutes to make it out the door and to the bus stop without missing the last bus on that route foe the evening. Se have to wait 45 minutes bc the last bus is well well wrap around. Which pretty much makes it absolutely impossible for them to even do a bit of overtime unless they're able to find a ride home by a co-worker.
Then there is the weekends with that same route! The Walkerville 8 is horrible.

I'd love to know if the busses even get cleaned at all on the inside. The disgusting looking stains on the seats. Yuck!

Not everyone is medically able to drive and don't have a choice but to take the city busses!

Spotted : I was at the food basics across from Techumseh Mall today (11/ 02/ 2023) at around 6pm give or take, I was with my kids & in a rush trying to do our grocery shop and get back home. Of course, my card wasn't working with tap and it asked for the passcode that I just couldn't remember, I started frantically searching for it in my phone and while doing so the sweetest woman paid for my groceries! I wish I had gotten your name but I didn't think of that until after.

I just wanted to give you a special shout-out and say THANK YOU again, that was the kindest most thoughtful thing, and I hope that the kindness you showed me finds it's way back to you 💕

Wink : I wanted to apologize to the young couple getting out of their car in the Rexall parking lot on Ouellette/ Giles. We were parked side-by-side and quite close to each other on the afternoon of Monday, May 29, 2023 and I saw the female driver carefully come out of her vehicle, while trying not to hit my car door. I, on the other hand, was not so careful and quickly drove off in a hurry while the female driver was still near my car and while I was driving away and still in the parking lot, I saw the male passenger in my rear-view mirror, who was also out of his vehicle, give me the one finger salute and I agreed with him. This was an extremely isolated incident for someone like myself who tries to be careful while driving. I wish you both well and I'm owning up to my mistake and learning from it. I need to be an even more careful and conscientious driver. After all, driving is a privilege, not a right. May we all be safe on the road and in this case, even in a parking lot.

Kind man returning purse at Metro

Spotted : Thank you so much to the gentleman who found my purse in a shopping cart at Metro on Central today and turned it in. I had my son in the cart and took him out and didn't notice it was still in there behind him. I was praying while driving back to the store that it was found by someone honest. I really wish I could've thanked you in person. It's so nice to know that there's some great people out there.
I will definitely be doing a random act of kindness tomorrow and remembering this kind deed.

Spotted : To the man who was dropping off his prescriptions at Shoppers in the mall around 5PM today thank you. I had to come into the pharmacy to talk to them about changing the delivery driver for my medications because he kept giving me compliments for months and it started to feel like harassment. I'm a young woman and the driver is an old man. The man dropping off his prescriptions sympathized with me and said that I shouldn't have to pick up my meds because Shoppers drivers behave badly. I really felt seen especially since a man told me this because even my own mother and my best friend who are women could not empathize with me and prioritized the perspective of the delivery driver. It helped me feel safe and secure that there are people who know what harassment can look like and I felt really validated. I was able to get a different delivery driver so everything worked out in the end. Thank you so much to this kind gentleman, you have been spotted.

OR Day Surgery Team at WRH - MET Campus

Spotted : On Monday, April 3, 2023 I had an emergency appendectomy at about 9pm in the evening with Dr. Kristen Gyetvai's OR team.
This was unexpected and was my first surgery. I was so scared that I was in tears when I got to the OR, but all the nurses were so kind and friendly and helped me to feel safe.
A special thank you to the nurses in Emerg who took care of me before my diagnosis and reassured me prior to surgery, the nurse with the dark hair and pink scrubs that wheeled me to and from the OR and reassured me that I was just taking a big nap and I would get a popsicle after like a little kid, to the nurse that told me we share a birthday (of the same year even!) and distracted me by talking about Tom Hanks movies and the Elvis movie right before I fell asleep, and to the spunky nurse that did my intake (I think her name was Jenny?) that kept me positive, and to my surgeon Dr. Gyetvai who answered all my questions prior to surgery. Also the nurses in the Recovery Room who took care of me and reassured me when I woke up.
Unfortunately I was too distraught and medicated to remember the names of all the nurses who helped with my surgery, but I would love to be able to find out who they all are and one day be able to thank them in person. So if any of you ever read this, please reach out. I so appreciate you all!
I had such an amazing experience with the OR Day Surgery Team at Windsor Regional -MET Campus. Thank you so much for taking care of me and easing my fears. Thank you for all the work you do!

Car Break-In

Spotted : My car was parked at a business on Provincial Rd and left overnight last Thursday (March 30th).

I got to my car at 5:18am on Friday, March 31st. The back window had been smashed in and a lot of my belongings were stolen. Among the items stolen were sunglasses, tennis rackets, old photos, cards from a deceased family members, car insurance and ownership papers, and other important documents belonging to my deceased relative.

The perpetrator fled the scene at 5:15am on foot (3 minutes before I arrived). They left the weapon behind. I hope we can find this guy. If anyone has any advice on who to contact with regard to the paperwork (new ownership obtained, private credit score please share below.

Spotted : I am going to go a bit on a rant here, bc I am boiled!! The past few mornings, showing up to drop MY KIDS off to school, this car has been parked here. Ok cool, I thought yesterday maybe he was just sleeping... it happens right people sleep in there cars. Well long and behold another head pops up. Hmm ok . So because my vehicle is higher up I can see directly into there car. Now I'm not gunna go into detail, I can see clearly what's going on. Whatever I blow it off yesterday. Pull up today to the SAME thing. Now I have my kids in my car asking all sorts of questions. I honked my horn to let them know a library parking lot BESIDE THE SCHOOL is NOT an appropriate place to be doing that kinda thing. Especially with kids coming. So they continued I then get our of my car bc at this point I'm livid. Go do that shit somewhere else!!! They then leave. Long story short, if you want to do that do it somewhere else. No infront of a library, beside a school and with kids around. Because now I have 2 kids asking questions that at there age they shouldn't need to know about!!

Spotted : I knew from the start of the day that I was going to get stuck somehow and I guess should have prepared more. I almost made it all the way through the day and was on my way home when it happened. I took a turn way too slow to avoid sliding into a car and hit some snow. I was alone with a dead phone, no boots or gloves and a car stuck on the corner of Riverside and Drouillard. A good amount of people drove by me but a lady and three (I think?) men stopped to help. I yelled thank you out of my window while I was driving away and I hope you heard me. I really appreciated the help and so do my toes. 💕

I was driving home from work and just before the banwell/ ec row intersection (eastbound), I was hit by another vehicle (black SUV). They kept swerving side to side up banwell, managed to straighten out and then took off. This happened around 3pm. Just hoping that someone saw and was able to get the license plate.

Spotted : The last few years have been anything but easy for a lot of people we all have been struggling with the cost of living everything is going up in price making it so hard just to survive not to mention covid happened and hurt a lot of small business. My personal story over the last few years have been anything but easy after coming home from Mexico because my family's life was in danger i was fined over 6000$ because of covid measures , my spouse at the time left me a month before our wedding leaving me a sudden single mom. I lost my business due to covid , then was in a car accident and rolled my car. My mother got sick stage 4 lung cancer no cure i immediately became her full-time care giver no business and no job i nearly lost my home care giving for mom sadly she passed away in June. The topper i enrolled in school hoping it would lead to a better career i could provide a better life for my daughter and i , I've worked very hard usually scoring 80 - 90% on all my tests and assignments. Last week i found out the school is having issues finding me placement so i will not be graduating with my class. I have completely hit rock bottom I've spent the last week angry and crying praying to god something has to give I'm not one to ask for help but this year i needed it more then anything!! At about 7pm last night on December 21st there was a knock at my door it was an older couple i have never met prior they hand me a turkey and all the fixings and said merry Christmas! When they left i hit the floor in tears! I just wanted to share my story because although life may seem hard and we struggle there is still good in our world and blessing come in all forms Merry Christmas!!

Spotted : Recently received a newspaper called druthers in our mailbox spewing anti-Covid, anti-vaccine and anti-lgbtq+ rhetoric. Upon investigating this paper there is a website you can go to to have them send this newspaper to everyone in your neighbourhood. Not sure which one of my neighbours felt it necessary for everyone to receive this hate at our front doors but it's disgusting. Have you're own beliefs but don't go shoving them in my mailbox.

Spotted : To the person who backed into my van between 8 and 10 pm on Merritt dr in the west end of windsor and then took off without notifying me I just want to say I understand. It's scary hitting someone's car, people definitely take advantage. so I understand why you didn't come tell me. I hope you do the decent thing and report it to the collision center so that way you can rest easy knowing you didn't just run and hide and cause physical damage to another person's vehicle on which they depend on to be able to work and provide.

Off Duty Hero

Spotted : On Tuesday November 22, I had the opportunity of witness the quick actions of an off duty firefighter who put their training to work to help a complete stranger. I was waiting for my Dr.'s appointment at Dr. Mustafa's office when their was some commotion coming from the spill over waiting area. As the story unfolded, we soon learned that there was a gentlemen that went into the bathroom and while in there, had a medical emergency. Their family member knew something was wrong and reached out to the receptionist for help. Receptionist soon discovered that the situation was not good - bathroom door was locked, no key for the door could be found and the gentlemen inside was not responding. Soon, the off duty firefighter who was there with his parents jumped into action, introduced himself to the employees of the office includng showing his ID and told them he was going to kick the door in to gain access. Two swift boots to the door and access was gained. This gentleman didn't stop there though, he quickly went to the side of the gentlemen that was in medical distress and directed office staff to call 911. He stayed by the man's side, accessing him constantly until EMS arrived. He had complete control of the situation from start to finish.
It was evident that the family member of this man in distress was anxious and worried but the quick actions of the selfless individual quickly eased her concerns. Many of the patients inside the office thanked the gentlemen for his quick actions and the office staff were beyond grateful for his help, with one saying that he was an "angel in disguise."
The off duty firefighter shrugged off the accolades but I wanted to write this to let him know that he was "spotted" and wanted to give him a formal "thank you." Not only for the care he gave that gentlemen that day but for the care they put into their community each day as a firefighter.
We are forever grateful for the service of our First Responders and this is just another example as to why. God Bless!h

Roma pizza

Spotted : This evening while having dinner at Roma Pizzeria, there was an older gentleman by the name of J.P Durocher(84) with his daughter waiting for his brother's to arrive. Apparently this former windsor firefighter meets with his brothers/ friends every week for pizza here. The waitress Jen, has been serving them for the past 2 years. She asked them last week if they have a picture of them altogether and since they didn't, she took the liberty of taking one. Jen then gets a copy made and framed for each of them. This really touched my heart and I know JP"s too. I would definitely go back to this restaurant not only for their delicious food but to meet people like Jen.
