Last Thursday evening at the WIndsor Caesar Casino, the band that was playing Bare Naked Ladies. Half way thru the show the lead singer asked a man by the name of Trevor. To get up there and give it a shot to sing and play cause earlier he had told them he could do this. So they got him up there and the crowd loved Trevor playing, I think he is from Windsor. The lead singer said to him, now your friends didn't record him but if anyone else recorded it please let him know. I Was taking a video of Trevor singing with the band..if he wants a copy to plz let me know and I will get it to him..Thank you. By the way he did A fantastic job ..

So extremely proud of my 13 year old daughter. This past Saturday, she did not give in to peer pressure, and in fact, handled a very difficult situation like a Pro! When hanging out at an acquaintance's house with some closer friends, she became aware that drugs were being used in the house by kids the same age as herself. She has no cell but still managed to contact her 14 year old sister and myself via messaging. She wanted to leave and get herself out of a dangerous situation, and she did. As I picked her up, I was struck by how amazing and mature she is, choosing to risk her friendships and peer pressure for what she believes in!!! Signed, a Mom that could not be more grateful or proud!

Last week, when the entire city was out of salt, I was on my way home from work early in the morning (work midnight) After stopping at a few stores and enquiring by phone at Canadian Tire as to salt availability and coming up empty handed, I had tried one last store near my house, which also was out! However, by chance, a young man in the store making a purchase had offered his 40 kg bag of salt to me which he happened to keep in the back of his pick up to help keep steady on the roads. My house was very close by so, it had been dropped off in no time. He only wanted $5. for it but I gave him 10. * and shared some with my neighbour.

To the kind person that found my purse at Walmart on Saturday,

Thank you so much! It is the first time I have ever lost my purse and I was freaking out.

I am truly thankful:)

Thanks again,
The girl with the black studded purse.

Not really a bad sighting but just more of a thing that gets under my skin. In this area pretty much every pool area built since 2000 or just a little before has a Family Change room. As a mom with boys and girls I am happy with the times that my husband can come swimming so I do not have to worry about my boys getting ready. However, when I was going swimming alone with one of my boys I always used the Family Changing rooms even though they were young. If you are a mom coming into a woman’s changing room with your 7 year old boy he may just get a big eye full. If your child is old enough to go to school and talk they are to big for a changing room where the opposite sex is changing. By the way Family Change rooms are usually bigger with more changing rooms.

Thank you Abrahams Towing for helping us and changing our tire when CAA couldn't! You saved us a tow and a mechanic! You were a very kind gentleman who came to our rescue in the freezing cold
