So extremely proud of my 13 year old daughter. This past Saturday, she did not give in to peer pressure, and in fact, handled a very difficult situation like a Pro! When hanging out at an acquaintance's house with some closer friends, she became aware that drugs were being used in the house by kids the same age as herself. She has no cell but still managed to contact her 14 year old sister and myself via messaging. She wanted to leave and get herself out of a dangerous situation, and she did. As I picked her up, I was struck by how amazing and mature she is, choosing to risk her friendships and peer pressure for what she believes in!!!
