Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
On October 30, 2013, my white Pacifica ran out of gas on Banwell Road. My children and I got out to push the vehicle to the gas station. A lot of cars passed us by, but a knight in shining armour came to our rescue. Not only did he drive me to the gas station but drove me back to my car and filled the tank with the gas can. There are not too many single men who would do that and be soo kind. Thank you from the bottom of my gas tank.

To the guy at Malden park on March 23rd who had the dog with a bell on its collar running free... Leashes are the law. You were nowhere to be seen and your dog was running around the park. There are families with small kids in there who may not be used to dogs. I am not saying that the dog would attack but I was always taught not to trust strange animals. I think the worst part of all of this was what you did when you called to your dog multiple times with your whistle...Yes it did take your dog a bit to find you as it wasn't near you on its leash, but that was no excuse to whip your FAITHFUL companion numerous times with its own leash that (gasp!) you actually had on your person. My kids sat there and watched you whip this dog until it whimpered in pain. Shame on you. You don't deserve to own an animal if you treat it that way. In my book that is abuse plain and simple. There are better ways to train your dog...
I want to thank Joe Lucier of Crafters Plus opening up at 3337 Walker Rd. For having such a big heart and helping out a 7yr old girl named Gabby of Gabby's Gifts. Gabby is on a mission to raise money for charities by making jewelry and crafts and using the proceeds to donate to various charities. Joe has offered her a spot in his store to sell her products for free to help her on her mission. Thank you for having a heart of gold and showing her that there are others out there with as big of a heart as she has.
Anyone else finding that the parking spots at the new Texas Grill on Walker are ...a little narrow? And by little, I really mean if someone parks close to the line there's no way you can park in the spot next to it. Well, you can but you can't get out easily- and if you have kids forget it!
I drove around the lot three times today, pulling into two of two open spots- pulling back out and parking in the Canadian Tire lot instead!
I don't have a large vehicle! I would rather park far away then have someone ding my car just trying to get into their car.
Hoping I'm not alone. I'm definitely going to email the business and I hope others do the same if they feel the same way!
Lost wiener dog on Thompson near Wyandotte. Dog is very old and blind please comment if found or has seen this dog. He is brown and grey in the face and his name is Tippy. Thank you
My dad needs some dental work, and a dentist was recommended to me to recommend to him. The dentist is on the East End.
He's formerly a military dentist and is doing the extractions necessary for a very, very reasonable price compared with what many others would charge for the same amount of work.
It's always nice to meet someone to whom the dollar is not the almighty, and from what I've heard he's very good despite being very reasonable.
Just the kind of person you don't often hear about that was nice to find.
Found a kitten behind my apartment building on Wyandotte between Moy and Gladstone and we are hoping to find it's owners because it looks like an indoor cat, pretty sure its a female. She's really pretty so if nobody owns it we need a home for her.
