The Woman who walked out of her way

Thank you to the woman who not only found a cheque that belonged to me, but walked 5 blocks out of her way to return it. Where some people might not have even picked it up and it would have been destroyed by the weather for sure, she went above and beyond to make sure I didnt lose out on that money. I didnt even realize I had dropped the cheque in the Freshco parking lot.
I wad having a rough day and appreciated this act of kindness more than you know!

Angels for the Animals

Three wonderful ladies ... Lisa, Victoria and Meghan ... heard about two cats left abandoned in an empty apartment without food and water for days, with lots of medical problems, and they took the time to try to make sure they got the help that they needed. Finally TLC Animal Aid took over and provided the cats with the veterinary care they needed and these cats will be up for adoption once they are healthy again. However, without the care and concern of these three women, these sweet and innocent felines wouldn't be alive today. They are definitely angels for the animals! And shame on the individuals that moved and left them behind!

Generous Woman Sponsors Girls to Attend Self Esteem Workshop

Tina Quiring from Windsor Laser. This woman is an absolute BLESSING to young girls in our community. Once again, when Tina found out I was facilitating another Self Esteem Workshop for girls she contacted me and offered to pay for 6 girls so they could attend. Over the past year, Tina has sponsored over 20 young girls from Windsor-Essex! I am honoured and blessed to have come into contact with her and she is a true humanitarian that should be recognized. As we all know, self esteem is an issue that many, if not most girls struggle with and Tina is a good example for these girls to show them the importance of giving back to your community. Thank you, Tina and Windsor Laser for generous support! Amy Mullins, Social Worker @ Vista - An Extensive View.

seriously disappointed

I always see posts on here about people paying it forward and returning things that have been lost, so I hate to be a downer... but on Monday my iPhone and credit card were stolen from me while I was out with some friends. My wallet was recovered, with ONLY the credit card missing. Turns out it was used six times, once at a Tim Horton's and five times at the same gas station. My cell phone was turned off immediately after being stolen, but it contains my entire work portfolio along with family photos that are pretty irreplaceable. I've filed a police report, but I'm hoping that if anyone has any information they'll be able to help me out. The phone is an iPhone 4S with a small scratch on the front. The card has been cancelled and the police financial crimes unit are currently investigating, but all in all I'm just really disappointed in whoever did this. Karma will catch up to you even if the cops don't.

Worried Citizen

Monday, March 17 around 730am I was driving to work West Bound on the 401. I spotted a black SUV pulled over to the side of the road on fire. I pulled over to call 911 and they said no one had called it in. I didn't see anyone in the vehicle as I drive by but a transport truck pulled over as well awhile back. Hope everything was ok.
Signed,
A worried citizen!

wonderful police woman

I want to give a big thank you to the female officer that arrived at my house on monday night after a suicide called to my address from my children..You talked me into going to the hospital that night to get the help that I deserve and my life back. You sat with me almost all of the night and talked to me like a real person and never once did you judge me at all. you also gave me a roll up to win free coffee . Thank you for just being there with me and listening to me. God bless you and keep you safe. a grateful mom and grandmother
