Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I live in the downtown core and for the past few days we've seen a young lady that has been stopping cars and asking for money. (I mean literally standing in front of cars and stopping them) She has had many close calls and almost caused a few accident too that we have seen. I work in the medical field and am confident that she has some sort of mental condition. We've seen a lot of crap down here but I have never seen her down here before and am sure she doesn't belong on the streets. She doesn't appear to be someone looking for drugs or anything like that Anyways out of concern for her safety we called the police in hopes they could help her or at the very least get her off the streets. They told us that they have talked to her at least 4 times tonight and that it was her choice. Whatever that means???? When I told them she didn't seem mentally able they said they knew that and there wasn't much they could do, but would talk to her again if they saw her. Anyone have any suggestions on who we can call to get her some help?
Signed,
Someone that won't sleep tonight and will feel horrible if something happens to this young lady.
To the man and his family driving the black GMC Terrain in the parking lot in Riverside Drive next to the Art Gallery, thank you!!! I was hoping to park at the Art Gallery for a family photoshoot I had booked and the lot was full. I was running out of places to to try and park and decided to park in the lot next door. It was $5 but I had a $20 and only $4 in change. It would not take my $20. When you approached to pay for your parking I asked if you could break a $20 and you said hold on and went back to your car to check. When you returned you gave me a $5 bill and I was confused..... You made my day by paying for my parking when I only asked to break my $20. I thank you and so does the Buress family who was waiting for some very important pictures at the Gallery!!

On Juliet & Ducharme: a young man cleared his parents' driveway & than went out to the road and cleared it for his neighbours.
To the people whose Mazda I went into and realized it wasn't mine, and then found you in my Mazda just as confused, thanks for not taking anything! Merry Christmas again!
A big thank it to the person who found a wallet at Devonshire mall in Fruday night a 12 year old young lady is very happy tonight to find out that her wallet was returned with all her money still in it. It sure made a 12 year old believe that there are good people out there.
Thanks so very much
Spotted: The awesome lady at Hakim Optical on Tecumseh near Howard who performed a temporary repair on my daughter's glasses for free despite the fact that they were purchased at a competitor's shop (and were awaiting warranty parts). Thank you!
