a Loving Dog Dad!
A dear friend said good bye to his BEST buddy yesterday and laid him to rest...even man's best friend is not immune to the horrible thief cancer is!
This is for you Vootzy and Sache!
LAST NIGHT
I stood by your bed last night,
I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying,
You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly
as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, Satche, I haven't left you,
I'm well Dad I'm fine, I'm here."
I was close to you at breakfast,
I watched you look around for me,
You were thinking of the many times,
your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the Gym today,
Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to lick your cheek Dad,
I wish I could do more.
I was with you in the truck today,
You drive it with such care.
I want to re-assure you,
that I'm always with you there.
I walked with you towards the house,
as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you,
I smiled and said " it's me."
You looked so very tired Dad
As you sank into my chair.
I tried so hard to let you know,
that I was standing there.
It's possible for me,
to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty,
"Im never far away."
You sat there very quietly,
then smiled, I think you knew...
In the stillness of that evening,
I was very close to you.
The day is over...
I climb up on your bed...
I smile and watch you yawning
as you pat a top Caine's head
I'll see you in the morning Dad."
And when the time is right for you
to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you
With Freak and Mama by my side.
I have so many things to show you Dad,
there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out...
then come home to be with me.
In memory of Satche

The first neighbours we've met since moving here in December, and they helped us while we were stuck, while all other cars drove past or took a different route. Thank you so much!
You guys ROCK!!!!!!
I'm writing today because of two wonderful people who are always here to shovel my driveway and sidewalk because I have a bad back ( I'm 27 ) but not only do they do my sidewalk and driveway, they also do my elderly neighbours as well. They are my snow angels in every sense! I love you guys!
I think this would be a unique post & am asking that you please share it on the facebook page just to see what type of feedback you'll receive. Your site is such a hit and we all know how crappy pof is - maybe you can create something similar to spotted where people can post online & have people like or comment their post if their interested. Somethin different! Here is my post below.
Not Spotted: A half-decent website for those who are on the go 24.7 to meet someone. We've all had our fair share of online dating stories & since Spotted is such a hit, how great would it be for them to create something similar to connect with someone. Hey you never know! (This could also filter out those "missed" connections posts off the regular spotted page). We can't please everyone but this site is great, why not try something different!

24yr old, mature, fun & athletic young woman. Easy-going & open minded - wanting to meet someone who can keep up with her in the gym!
I saw a lady shoveling the sidewalk in my neighbourhood (where the snow was knee deep) and she was the ONLY person who was nice enough to do that (I realize that it's not easy to shovel because of the layer of ice), not just for the mail carriers but for the people who walked to and from the bus stop too. I wish I could've helped her out but she was almost finished with the sidewalk. Thanks neighbour! You have been spotted! :)
Can someone with a plow clean the alley between Moy and Lincoln, towards Tecumseh road, near the train tracks? The city refuses to do it, claiming it is the responsibility of the residents, and the resisdents are morons that shovel and snowblow the snow from their parking lots and driveways back into the alley. There's no way I'll be able to leave for days. Off Shepherd!
My dad! You are the most wonderful man in the world. I recently found out that I am expecting my first child and I'm excited, worried, happy, and stressed all at once. Breaking the news to my dad was difficult, as the youngest child and only girl I've always been kind of spoiled, but expected to behave better than the boys. My amazing father had nothing but kind words of support and love for me. I should mention that my father has been a single father for the last five years since my mom moved back to her hometown. He put me through college, took in my teenage neice, watched me lose a job, supported us through family feuds, and even supported me during my "Unemployed summer of 2011".
After breaking the news to super dad I mentioned that I would be moving out, as I thought it was the grown up thing to do at this point.
Thank you Dad, for changing my mind. Baby and I will be very comfortable and happy in the house you raised our family in. I cannot wait to transform my childhood bedroom into a nursery, and watch my little monster grow up in our home. I love you daddy. You are in fact one Bad Dad ;-)
