Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the two gentleman who came through my checklane today at work this afternoon. One of you were telling me about a heated jacket they sell at Canadian tire because I was talking about how cold it was at work. The other gentleman made a joke about his cat being an a**hole ..... you both gave me a good laugh & to the man who informed me of the coat, had I of not been at work, I'd of gotten your number.
Today as I was trying to juggle my 3 year old daughter asleep in my arms while trying to get one of the kids police carts for her , I left my car keys on top of the little machine.
Thank you to whoever handed them in to the information desk ! It would've been a loooonggg walk home. I appreciate the gesture
Lost a pair of Rx BLV sun glasses at the Tecumseh Mall or Food Basics on Friday night (Feb. 7th). Please share and/ or message if you or someone knows anything. Thanks...really sad.
Today we celebrate 18 years in Canada!! Looking back at all that we went through as a family, I have nothing but gratitude to my parents for making the difficult decision to move in search of a better life. It was a cold (yes, brrrr cold) February 8, 1996 when we were listening to Alanis Morissette's 'Ironic' on our flight to Toronto while anticipating our arrival anxiously. This time it's via Facebook that we'd like to send a huuuuge shout-out to ALL those who welcomed us with open arms, and helped us with our big transition (although we were complete strangers to them)! St. Gregory's Parish (now a part of Good Shepherd Parish) Community has chosen our family out of thousands of hopeful applicant who were drained by the war and its aftermath. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Most importantly, to those who 'forced' my family to leave, we also say THANK YOU for making us move to this great country
To the young man walking down the street that stopped on the corner of parent and tecumseh, put his hat on chest and waited till the entire funeral passed to continue walking.. Thank you! Im glad there are still good people out there!
I got lazy and didn't shovel after a small snow fall since I could still drive over it. Then this melted, then the plows came and pushed it up on the end of my driveway. I still didn't clear it and drove over it a few times before it froze. Then it snowed again lol. After the wollop we had, I was then trying to shovel between the ruts my tires had made...not fun lol. I came home from work that night to find that some unknown person has plowed out the ruts for me at the end of my driveway, making it smooth again. Thank you to whoever this is!
Wow. Truck Driving 101. Side streets are not the way to go!
To the lady outside of the Dollarama on Tecumseh Road East at around 7:20 p.m. tonight... Thank you for being so kind and offering up your arm to one of my clients that was holding onto my arm and terrified of walking in the snow. You helped my client feel safe as we were walking back to the car. Good to know there are awesome people that live in Windsor... it's why I don't ever want to leave.
