Tim Hortons loss

This morning at Dougall and Tecumseh Tim Hortons, after waiting in a 10 car line up to get my some breakfast on the way to school, I got to the window and was told the debit was down and that there was a sign outside. So being a loyal customer who is there every morning spending $10 to $20 plus a good tip they let me drive away without my sons sandwich. I think they could have given a free bee for loyal customer or kept an IOU, something! I also go many times for sandwiches at lunch for my kids even though the workers have problem putting no tomato as requested. 30 + years I've been a customer and for the last at least 3 years every morning, no longer. Also they have their employees push dark roast and verify that order is correct on screen taking extra time with each customer in the drive thru while cars are dangerously lined up on both Dougall and Tecumseh roads to get in drive thru. My husband stops there on his way to work for coffee everyday and is now going to ouellette and eugenie instead as he is also tired of slow service.

was ur son (wearing green & white striped hoody) bullied today?

earlier this morning about 11:30am I was going west on totten when I passed a school yard with what appeared to me to be a class-sized group of kids outside.

a young boy with a green and white hoody was sitting on a bench when another boy with dark curly hair and a gray Tshirt walked up to the kid sitting and took a couple of swipes at him. at first I thought maybe they were goofing off u til gray Tshirt kid pulled the other kids hoody over his head, dragging him off the bench and onto the ground, punching him a few times. he stopped for a second until a second kid joined in and they kicked the kid a few times while he was down before he was able to get back up again.

I was unfortunately not able to stop at that exact moment ( and I know I'm gonna catch heck for this but the situation didnt seem life and death as he got up and seemed fine). when I got up the road, instead of continuing on I turned around and headed back to the school to find an adult (was having a hard time finding a number for the school). in the ten mins or so it took to do this, all the kids were all gone. I called the school to make sure the kid was okay and offer details to what had happened but the lady I spoke with said their kids hadn't yet gone out for lunch yet and it may have been kids from another school nearby. she said she would call around and check into it for me. she was very nice and didn't make me feel half as crazy as I sounded to myself calling about some schoolyard scuffle but it bothered me. before some of u go on a rampage about how I should have called the police or an ambulance for the victim, it seemed more harassment than a real intent to inflict harm. not okay by any means but had i felt the kid was in real danger I would have left the car in the middle of the road and intervened.

so if your kid happens to wear a horizontal green and white striped hoody and came home today a little rougher than he left this morning, I just want u to know that he was not at all at fault. so many times when kids are bullied, parents ask what their kid did to provoke it. he literally was just sitting there. he didn't do anything (that I saw) wrong, possibly ages 11-13? he seemed relatively unharmed but I've been worrying about him all day.

and to the bully apparently having a good time at someone else's expense: one day a kid smaller and quieter than u is gonna pack a bigger punch than u do and I doubt very much ull garner much sympathy.

not that I condone violence lol

Mouse in my apartment for the 2nd time in a year

I'm getting kind of tired of this at 737 Ouellette. For the second time in a year I have a mouse in my apartment. Are they renting to them now? There's no good reason why on the sixth floor this should happen once, let alone twice in one year. Getting tired of it.

Annoying girl at the Gym

To the girl at Good Life Fitness who talks on her phone during her entire workout, You Have Been Spotted. .Nobody cares about what you did the previous night or weekend. Although most of us have headphones in and we are listening to our music, we can still hear everything you are saying due to the fact that you are very loud. It's truly very annoying so please just stop.

Sincerely,

A girl just trying to work out in peace

Ridiculous Drivers On Elsmere Ave Next To Giles Campus

While I was driving down Elsmere Avenue right next to the Giles Campus there was a ridiculous amount of confusion and horrible drivers. Cars and moving trucks double parked which lead to buses being stuck in the fiasco for nearly 15 minutes, people yelling at he bus drivers even though they cannot back up. To whomever decided it was a good idea to let parents pick their kids up in a tiny residential road where people are trying to leave the parking lot or buses are trying to do their route wake up...

Transit Windsor

To the driver driving the south windsor 7 this morning (Thursday 16th)...could you try not to slam on the gas and breaks so much? Especially when people are getting on and off the bus. I realize there are instances where you NEED to stop quickly, but you seem to slam on the breaks every time you need to stop, and slam on the gas when you start going again.

Sincerely, the girl who almost faceplanted twice while getting on the bus

Want fit kids? have them walk to school!

To the parents who drop off their kids by pulling up beside, in front or behind the wheelchair bus where all the children who only wish they could walk sit and wonder why, at least mine does.

My son is in a wheelchair. He can not walk.
This a.m. I had to drive something to his school for the first time since he started at school. He takes the wheelchair bus. Much to my dismay as I pulled up to the school where the bus comes in there was a line of cars a block and half long dropping off students. I watched about 30 cars. Now, I can understand on a rainy stormy day. a big project needs bringing in, a disorder that isn't visible, or some other excuse to drop your kid off at school and not inspire them to walk. However, it occurs to me bussing is only available beyond 2 km's from the school which means these kids certainly could be walking. When else do they get exercise? what other sports or activities are they in that excuse them from walking to school? If you are concerned about how obese your child is or is becoming don't you think this would be a good start? Have them walk to school and walk home! You are not doing them a favour by driving them, you would be promoting health and fitness and a better lifestyle if you have them walk. At least drop them off at the corner with the 4 way stop and get them to walk 50 feet to the door of the school instead of pulling up beside, in front, behind the wheelchair bus where all the children who only wish they could walk sit and wonder why, at least mine does. Take it from a mom who wishes her son could walk to school, if this message inspires one parent to have their child get the exercise they need I will have succeeded in this rant! Thank you. Walk with them! I'm sure you need the exercise too!
