To the lady in the grayish silver minivan on Provincial today, who cut off my Dad causing him to slam on his brakes an inch away from you before crashing. I just want you to know my Grandmother who is recovering from a recent neck surgery was one of the passengers in our vehicle. How dare you be so careless of other citizens ? And to top it off, you refused to even make eye contact with my Dad when you'd met side by side at the stop light.Feeling guilty ? I hope you spent the rest of your day just as shook up as I am. Let's all remember to take time to drive safely instead of worrying about rushing your lives away !

Second Time Survivor!!

While at the cancer clinic today, a young Lady came in and went around and gave everyone of the cancer patients roses!! This Lady is a two time survivor. Didn't get your name but wanted you to know, that you have been spotted!! Our Family got some pretty hard to hear news this last week and you made us feel special!! I want to thank you for that...She also gave some to the nurses & clerks, who I don't think get enough praise for always being so kind and gentle with people who are going through such hard times, and aren't always at their best when they come in for treatment!! I wish you the best, and Congrat's on beating this monster 2 times...

George Lopez had one too many in Windsor ...TMZ reports

Everyone knows this carpet

George Lopez had one too many last night at a Canada casino -- law enforcement tells TMZ, the comedian was arrested for public intoxication after passing out on the casino floor.

Law enforcement sources tell us Caesars Windsor security alerted police to the Lopez situation -- presumably after they found him on the floor -- and officers subsequently arrested him
inside the casino bar at Caesars Windsor.

No charges are being filed against Lopez -- we're told he was pretty much dumped in a drunk tank to let him sober up.

at Tim's Wyandotte and Marentette

When we pulled up to Tims a young man was standing outside a looked at me desperately, as I left he said "excuse me" have you got change for the bus.I said I'm sorry no and in my pocket I did find a $1:15. I said what is a bus ride today 2.75 he said yes and thanked me and that it will help. I so thought of this boy the rest of the day and wished I could give him a warm coat a hat and a scarf. He looked sad and very cold.Poor guy.I dont have much but perhaps I could go through clothes at home here and get you some layers so you stay warmer throughout this terrible winter. If you see someone in need and have the time please give what you can.It will warm your heart and soul.

Saving the Swans

As you can see on CTV news people came together to save the swans that were freezing in the ice in the Little River. Some of the swans were saved yesterday but now in order for the swans to get better they need our help! Once these stories were posted, lots of great comments have come about. As noted in the story he was just watching the birds and swans when he saw what that happening to the swans, quick action and response came because of his expertise and partnerships with Wings Wildlife Rehab and Windsor-Essex County Humane Society. But....

THEY NEED DONATIONS OF FIELD CORN OR MONETARY DONATIONS TO HELP FEED THE SWANS AT WINGS WILDLIFE REHAB! Please call Nancy at 519-736-8172 or Ted at 519-919-4716 and they will make arrangements for you to make a donation.

tim hortons angels

This is a late post since i dont really go onto facebook much and had to get my granddaughter to show me how to use this website. A few days ago i was having a very rough morning, late for work, Tim Horton's drive thru was packed and my patience was running thin on having to wait so long in the line. As I pulled up to pay for my coffee I found that the two females in the car in front of me had given them 20 dollars and wanted to pay for everyone's order that was behind them. I want to thank the both of you for making my whole week so much more brighter. You turned my rough day into a very good one,

Signed,
The grumpy old lady in the white yukon
