Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
At a street light near Huron Line and Techumseh vehicles were totally ignoring the pedestrians that had the right away when the vehicles had a green light. They were hovering on the median trying to step out and keep walking but cars turning left kept holding them back. I was waiting to turn right but was waiting for the people to cross. So, I assume the people driving thought I was letting them have the right away. Um. No. I was waiting and pointing at the people who were getting cut off!
I don't walk anywhere, I love my car so I am not biased on my opinion. Pay attention people! This isn't all about you! Follow the rules of the road and respect everyone travelling. It isn't that hard.
I'd like to send a shout out to Chris Knight at Black Sheep Piercing and Tattoos. He is very professional and does an amazing job. I've been there many times and every time he goes out of his way to make his clients feel at ease. He's very friendly and I would never go anywhere else for a piercing. Chris Knight, you've been spotted!
Spotted on the Windsor Business Networks blog - a non profit organization looking for talented bakers all over Canada & the USA for a great cause! We have SO many extremely talented and kind hearted bakers in the area that I had to share because I know many of them would jump at the chance to lend a hand. http:/ / windsorbusinessnetworks.blogspot.ca/ 2014/ 03/ become-sugar-angel-bake-difference.html

TRACY FROM TOYS R US ON HOWARD, YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED! My mother and I were returning a toy at Toys R Us. While talking to Tracy (the sales associate) we mentioned we were looking for the princess dresses from Frozen for my niece. She looked online to see if she could order it but like everywhere else it was sold out. We left saying thank you many times for all the help and that they'll probably see us again to look for the dresses.
Well, a few hours later we were at Devonshire Mall having a coffee when my mom got a phone call from Toys R Us saying that they have the dresses from Frozen and will put them aside for us. We rushed over there and Tracy waved us over showing us the dresses my niece would scream over. Tracy said that she tried to look for my mom's number but she didn't put it down on the return slip she filled out earlier. So, she looked in the phone book to find it. We were so grateful, all that hard work and commitment means so much. My sister and mostly my niece will be so happy. Thank you again Tracy!!!!!
Thx to the wonderful staff at WRH 2nd floor.
After my surgery, you all went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable.
Not to mention, my late night snacks that you had security go get for me.
You made my stay pleasant and relaxing, even though I was so scarred.
Thx a bunch

Just wanted to say thank you to ABC Jefferson for their awesome support in wearing purple today for epilepsy awareness..Not only did the staff all wear purple, when I brought my son into the room every child was wearing something purple,,,this really touched my heart,,it's very important to get the word out being that epilepsy is low grid on the charts for recognization and education,,so thank you ABC daycare ,,just another reason this daycare is the best.
I was just wondering if anybody knew of any places that are hiring?
Last Sunday while I was shopping at the Devonshire Mall I grabbed a quick sandwich at the Subway. I remember putting my purse on the back of my chair while I ate, cleaned up my garbage after I was finish and walked out.....leaving my purse hanging on the back of my chair in the restaurant. I got home and went to pay the pizza delivery guy at the door and couldn't find my purse. I suddenly panicked realising that I had left it somewhere....After a long sleepless night, wondering if someone had found it and handed it in to security I called the Subway and spoke with a very nice young lady and she told me that it was handed in and that it was in the back room at the restaurant. I was so thrilled to hear that someone cared and did the right thing. I was not lucky enough to find out who this person was that returned my purse but if you are reading this I have to tell you how thankful I am. Thank you so much. Joan W.
