Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Thank you to the lady on the way to Lasalle who help me and my daughters out. Would have been a long night and a long walk. Shows there is still people out there who help.
To the man coming back from the strawberry fest a little tipsy (drunk) asking for directions to a street. Hopefully you were smart enough to listen to me and use google maps to get to your friends house. Really hopping you got home safe and p.s the picture of the deer you took was plastic just saying... You've been spotted
I was with a wonderful women yesterday at art in the park. We went through spent money and enjoyed looking at all the wonderful things people had to offer. On our way back to our car we took a turn down one of the side streets and their was a little boy maybe 7 or 8 selling his home made necklaces. I thought nothing of it and kept walking by. The women I was with stopped in her tracks and said "let's go back and make his day". So we turned around and chatted with the little guy. He explain that he made the necklaces all on his own and his papa brought him home the shells that he had tied on the end of the necklaces all the way from Florida. He also mentioned that he was donating all the money he was going to raise to the heart and stoke foundation. He also mentioned no one had stopped by to make any purchases. So the women I was with asked him if he had change for a 20$ bill and asked for a necklace. His eyes lit up and he had a huge smile on his face.. The women explained to this young boy what a great job he was doing and how generous it was for him to be donating the money he collects to the foundation. She then told him she didn't want any change back and to take the 20$ and donate it all on behalf of him. Let me tell you that little guy was so happy.
So to the little boy doing great things like that so young you've been spotted! Please continue to be who you are and help others 😊
And to the women who made that little boys day.. You've been spotted, and I am so great full that your my mother! :)
While at the Strawberry Festival with my family, I "spotted" a member of St. John Ambulance taking time to smoke while in uniform - in full view of the public. For a health-related organization, you sir, are certainly are not setting a good example, especially considering all of the young people/ children in attendance.
Stay classy.....
To the person driving the sedan on Logan this morning, your dogs went ballistic when they saw my dog and me walking quietly along the sidewalk. One was on your dashboard, and the other one was bouncing hysterically around the back seat trying to get at us through the rear window. It completely startled us and my dog reacted, wrenching my back and nearly knocking me off my feet. NOT NICE! I can't count the number of times this has happened in the past eight years since I adopted my sweet girl at a pet rescue. People, PLEASE, for everyone's safety, if your dog can't behave in the car, use a crate, or leave it at home! It's just as bad or worse than texting while driving!
What a great event by the Running Factory! A couple of things made it extra special for us. Our son, who is 9, ran faster then us & got a cramp. A few people stopped to help him walk and breath through the cramp. Thanks for taking the time from your run, to help him, while he was "crushing" us. I also lost my truck key sometime during the run & someone turned it in. It would have been a long 5km walk back tracking to find it. Thank you so much for your kindness!
My cat Luna escaped on June 5th around 8:30 pm when my landlord entered the apartment by Alexis and Ypres. She was seen outside on June 6th but hasn't been seen since and has not yet returned home. She is very shy and probably hiding somewhere.
This evening we took my daughter (who's 9), my son and two of my daughters friends to the LaSalle Strawberry festival. Each of the girls had their own money in their little purses, which I was constantly making sure they held on to. After being on the Extreme ride, we headed over to another. About 15 min later while occupied with my son, my daughter realized she left her purse at the extreme ride. Not being to hopeful, my husband ran back to see if he could locate it. The very nice gentleman in charge of the ride took my daughters purse and put it aside knowing she would be back. He was so kind and gave her a thumbs up when he saw her return for it. Her $40 allowance all there. A lot of carnival workers get stereotyped for various reasons. But you sir have been spotted for keeping my little girls purse safe and allowing her night of fun to continue :)
