To my darling husband who is undergoing surgery right now. We are baking and cooking today and getting the house ready for your return. We hope you have a speedy recovery and don't get bored with the hundreds of movies to choose form that you will have time to watch! Sometimes people never give themselves time to relax and end up with mother nature making them go through something like this to force them too. You deserve this, don't look at it as a burden but a much needed break. We'll even paint your toes ;)

Tonight at On The Beach Bar and Grill (354 Croft Drive, Tecumseh, Ontario) there is a 5km fun race and kids dash to celebrate the summer solstice. Families are welcome and after the race the volleyball courts will be open to play! Come by for a great way to kick off the official start to summer on this beautiful day. Black Toyota Rav on Wyandotte......You have a "Baby on Board" dangling from your back window. You don't signal, you drive on the median and you stay stopped at a green light because you are too busy texting or yelling at your passenger. One day, sadly you are going to be in an accident or charged with careless and if that baby IS on board perhaps the officer will report you to CAS as you probably can't parent any better than you drive!

Last night, while at the Greek Fest, it started raining a heavy, cold rain. A family was sitting under the tent, and the Mom handed her son an umbrella to bring to a security guard who was obviously going to get soaked. Not only did the guard use the umbrella, (it was awesome to watch him twirling it as he stood his post) when the family left, it was still raining and they let the guard keep it. What a lovely act of kindness. It made my night. Well that, and the honey balls. :)

WEFL is very excited to announce the kick off to our 2014 pre-season! Due to the overwhelming support from our friends, family and community; WEFL is proud to announce that this year we will be having 4 FREE football camps!!! Other camp dates will be available on the website.

CHILDREN REGISTRATION:
These camps will be offered to ALL CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5-14 as of December 31, 2014
Children do NOT need to have any football experience or need to be a WEFL member to attend.
ALL CHILDREN ARE MORE THAT WELCOME TO ATTEND!
This is a great opportunity to see if your child would like the wonderful sport of football before registering!
There is no pre registration required. Child registration will take place at 9AM at Realtor Park.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
Clothing All children are required to bring weather appropriate clothing to the camp.
Sunscreen WEFL would encourage the use of sunscreen throughout the day. Please note that WEFL will not be providing sunscreen to the children who attend.
Shoes All children will be required to wear appropriate running shoes (or cleats if available but not mandatory) to the camps
Football equipment is NOT needed for our camps! WEFL camps are NON-CONTACT and therefore do not require helmets, shoulder pads, etc. to attend.

COACHES:

A special thank you goes out to the various coaches from WEFL, the high school level, and various coaches from the surrounding area. These coaches have volunteered their time to come out and teach football skills and drills to all children who attend.

FOOD/ BEVERAGES:

All children will receive lunch sponsored by Just Jeffs as well as water during our camps.

T-SHIRTS:

All children will receive ONE free t-shirt while supplies last. Shirts were sponsored by Promotional Basics and Nantais Source for Sports.

Please Note: If your child is attending all camps, one shirt will be provided during the first camp. Children are responsible to wear their shirt to the other camps.

Yesterday morning I was leaving for work when the heavy-duty spring in my garage door opener snapped. With my car trapped inside the garage, there was no way I could get out. After trying for about 20 minutes to get the door up, I called Dor-Co Garage Doors. I said I needed service on my garage door and Moe, the lady who took my call, asked if Monday was okay. I explained my situation and she said that she'd fit me in sometime before 3 pm. I knew that was my best option so I agreed. A few minutes later, Moe called back and said she could have a technician there in 25 minutes. As promised, Jason from Dor-Co arrived shortly. He was professional and polite and replaced the springs (I wasn't taking any chances, so I replaced both) and I was on my way to work. Thank you, Dor-Co for saving the day and for great, prompt service!

Would like to take the opportunity to give 'TWO THUMBS WAY UP' to the Owner and staff of Border City Coney! Amazing food, friendly service and good prices. You can tell a lot of love goes into everything they serve! From my family to yours, THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING DINNER! (and for going above and beyond to fix my daughter's order of Coney fries so it had no mustard!) We will be back for more!

This evening... My sisters, our 3 kids and myself all went out to dinner at Pat'n'Hanks onTecumseh Rd E. We were sitting at our table for about 15 minutes before I noticed and elderly couple walked in and sit behind us. My nephew is extremely friendly and today was nothing different.... He was all smiles saying "hi" to everyone... Throughtout our meal he would stop and wave at the couple, and they would smile and wave back. As our dinner was coming to an end, the older gentleman walked over and rub my nephews head, smiled and said "what a good little boy". We all smiled and said thank you. As him and his wife were leaving.... The lady then looked at us and complimented at how well behaved the kids were. As a parent, in a restaurant, that is one of the best compliments ever lol. Soon after they left, out waitress walked over and informed us that the gentleman had paid for all of our meals. And told her not to say anything to us until he left... And that we simply pay it forward. What an extremely kind gestures... I never truely understood how people felt when something like that happened to them. Until tonight. Speechless, gratitude, respect, happiness are just a few of the many emotions my sisters and I felt..... Amazing how kind some people can be.... To that beautiful couple THANK YOU so much from the bottom of our hearts.... you made our night that much better.... You both have been spotted :)
