Not an easy job

To all the men and women on construction sites throughout the city, working sun up to sun down, in the sweltering heat, often too exhausted to enjoy any amount of home life at the end of each day, I thank you for your hard work.

Little things matter

Thank you so much to the guy who stopped and got out of his car to pick up my daughters sippy cup. She dropped it while we where bike riding and well I turned to go back for it (debating how I was going to bend down and grab it with her on the back of the bike) a very generous man stopped and picked it up for me saving me from a toddler meltdown and I guess me falling over. It was something little and probably stupid to most but it made my day and I'm sure my daughters to. Little things like that do matter and it's nice to see people go out of their way to see a smile! Thank you!

Should Windsor invest in Radar cameras and red light cameras.....

I have been driving in other cities recently and noticed with red light cameras and radar cameras on highways like our own ECROW traffic seems so much smoother. People were typically driving 3-10km over the limit which is still controlled. I personally think its a good idea in Windsor because there are always people speeding and driving reckless. I can think of a couple reasons why it wouldn't be good, but for the most part I think it is a great idea. Windsor has yet to catch up to the rest of the cities in Canada. Also for everyone complaining about the construction around Windsor you should really travel to other provinces and see how much construction is always going on. We as citizens are never happy, if there is construction we complain, and if there isn't any construction we complain about how bad the shape of the roads are. Id really like to hear some other thoughts on this.

Slow down!

To the speed demon driving down George ave a little after 1:30 in your SUV and construction t-shirt. I did not yell at you to slow down because I like the sound of my voice. My friend's son was getting out of the car. The fact that you sped up on purpose once you heard me shows that you are an ***hole and could have cared less if there was a chance you could have injured someone.

Nail Salon (Tecumseh)

Last weekend I went to this nail place in Tecumseh for a manicure pedicure, along with two friends. One got just a manicure and the other just a pedicure. I booked an appointment 4 days in advance and when we got there, there were only 2 ladies working... We took our time picking out colours because they were both finishing with other customers. 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment, one lady started on my friend, it wasn't for another 20 minutes that someone started on my pedicure. She rushed through the pedicure, not taking enough time to file my nails and clean the dead skin off, but it was my birthday and I was in a good mood so I didn't say anything. The same lady did my manicure (the owner or manager I believe) and she rushed through my manicure as well. I had to ask her to re-file my nails because she left them un-smooth. I was happy with the result although the service wasn't good.
That night my nails had already begun chipping and by the next day they were completely gone. I didn't go back sooner because I went on vacation the next day.
Throughout the week my toe has started bothering me and I realized that she had cut my nail in a way that gave me an ingrown toe nail.
Today I went back to complain and hopefully get some good customer service. The same lady that did my nails was there and I talked to her. I told her I have an ingrown toe nail because of the way she cut my nails and she argued with me saying I was wrong. I told her I went to the doctor and she said that I should listen to what the doctor says. I then proceeded to complain about my chipped nails and she said she could re-do them for me, fine, in any other case. I work at a place in which I am not allowed to have my nails painted so I explained to her that I would not like them to be re-painted. She said "Would you like me to give you your money back?" and I said yes, that would be a good alternative and she said "Well no. I am not doing that."
Short version of the end, she had no customers in the store which shows her poor customer service skills. I paid almost $50 for a pedicure manicure and I was not satisfied with the quality or service of said Nail Salon. If you want to keep your business, you should strive to make the customer happy no matter what.

Lost engagement ring

Hi! I keep seeing these lost and found posts on your page so I thought I would give it a try. My engagement ring went missing in my south walkerville neighbourhood over a year ago but I wont lose hope. My neighborhood is off walker road close to chryslers. It went missing in April of last year. My husband and I searched all over and posted flyers and kijiji ads. Noone has called. I am heartbroken that my ring is gone and I would love to have it back. Obviously it has huge sentimental value to me. If you have seen it please call the police or message me. My email is shannonmasse_3@hotmail.com. Thank you!
