Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the WONDERFUL staff (volunteers, doctors, nurses etc.) at Windsor hospice:
I cannot imagine how tough your jobs are day to day, but I really have to say you all do a damn great job! My sister had been battling cancer for nearly 4 years and the unfortunate time came to put her in your care. My family and I all decided it was time for her to be brought to hospice and we couldn't have made a better (and difficult) choice. From the moment any family member/ visitor walked in you made us feel so comfortable. More importantly you made my sisters last few days with us comfortable. She was with you less than a week and you took such good care of her. I know the hard time my family went through and I cannot imagine how difficult your jobs are to keep it together while families with ill loved ones come in. You gave us hugs when you saw we needed them and always gave us smiles. You didn't treat my sister like a "sick patient." Although my sister was asleep the entire time and couldn't talk or communicate with you, I know she would have said thank you. On behalf of her, and my family: THANK YOU! She passed with a smile on her face and in a comfortable environment.
I really cannot express my thanks enough.
Hospice Windsor, you have been spotted.
I believe his name is Brian who works the fish department at zhers on dougall... Everytime I am there with my two very busy boys, he always takes time to show him the lobsters or the biggest fish he can find. They love it and look for you Everytime we are there! Thanks for being such a great guy and so awesome with my boys! Appreciated more than you know? #Zhers
I work at a gas station and last night this man came in after pushing a ladies vehicle into the station and to the pump (she ran out of gas). When he came in he asked if I can put this $60 on her tab as she fills but don't cap it so she can keep filling in case she goes over $60. I noticed them talking as she pumped the gas and he left walking back the way he came. When the lady came inside she started telling me how she ran out of gas and this man and his son came out of the house and asked if she was ok. She explained and they offered to push her here (this was on walker road but only a few blocks away) She gave me her card to pay and I told her the total is $15.00 she said no wrong pump I put in $75. I explained how the gentleman came in while she pumped and gave me 60 to apply to your total. He said how you felt down on your luck and wanted to help bring a smile back. She started crying and asked if she can hug me so I walked around and hugged her.
SO to that man that lives just off walker who helped that kind lady last night, MISSION ACCOMPLISED you did put a smile on her face and tears of joy. You are an absolute angel.
I love that this page exists so I had a chance to tell my story. I really hope this man sees it.
You have been spotted
I have spoken to owner and BINGO is a Feral Cat but Julie L Mailloux took him in when he was left at a Bingo Hall. Hence the name of this little guy, BINGO has neurology problems does NOT walk steady and many other issues going on. Julie decided to make him her baby but he got out and she's afraid for his life. I'm working with her so we can bring BINGO home, thank you. Please call 519-990-0069 with information
To the dumb blond driving the Ford Edge at the stop sign on Glendale and Empress. Here's a tip on how stop sign rules work....When at any intersection where you want to turn left (you), you must yield the right-of-way (me). If you are turning left, you must wait for approaching traffic to pass or turn right. And since I was going straight and you were turning left that means you have to wait. So next time you want to yell at me and turn around and try to chase me down, maybe you should go back to driving school or return your license to the cracker jack box that you got it from. You never have the right-of-way when turning left unless you were at an intersection with stop signs at all corners which that spot is not. You moron!!!
Have you noticed all of the extra truck traffic on Wyandotte Street today?
This video explains why it's happening.
Today while driving I left my keys on top of my car in the south walkerville area. Unfortunately the car is a automatic starter so not until I got home did I realize they must have flown off while driving. I drove on Walker to get to the hwy. Chances are they will not be found but thought I'd give it a go here. There is another car key set on it with several house keys and a purple eiffel tower keychain . Thanks in advance
Last night i had the opportunity to attend this event, I had never heard anything about it before and that's why I'm sharing this. It benefits all local people of essex county. Last night event was prom it was a girls only event. And what girl wouldn't want to get all dressed up with her girlfriends and go out as if there were really going to prom. There was 80's 90's and now outfits. The crimped hair style now that was a memory. It was very heart warming to know this foundation exists. I encourage everyone to check out there website and find out more. I had a blast and will definitely be attending next year.
