Humanity at its finest

Shout out to the women who works at manchu wok in deveonshire mall. Today around 11 am I watched you bring a tray to the table for a gentleman who had a walker, you were kind and patient and I just know he appreciated the help. It was such a kind thing for you to do and I just thought you deserved a shout out for being kind in times where its all about being fast and bringing in the money. Thank you for taking time to help another human being!

Simple Apology

Today while I was sitting in a grocery store parking lot waiting for my daughter to get off work you came to your truck parked next to me.
You proceeded to put your groceries away,
All of a sudden your door smashed into mine so hard my car shook. You then proceeded to give me a dirty look. I got out of my car to check for damage and advised that you hit my car. Your response was no, the wind hit your car. I said excuse me, your door hit my car ma'am. You stayed with the wind blew your door and you are just trying to put your groceries away. Then you told me I needed to relax. Treated me like it was my fault your door slammed into my car. The man you were with could not even look me in the face, probably because he was embarrassed by the way you acted! Shame on you.. you have been spotted!!!

Take care and drive safe - you know who you are

We truly have some generous unsung souls living among us in Windsor. We had a very pleasant surprise happen to us tonight. It's my husbands birthday and we went to Swiss Chalet on Walker road. The food was excellent and the girls came to our table and sung Happy Birthday to my husband. It was a very enjoyable meal with free dessert for hubby. Upon leaving we were told by our server our meal had been paid for by the couple sitting next to us. I do wish I knew their names so we could have thanked you personally. First time I have seen my husband speechless in the last 30 years. Again, 'take care' and 'drive safe'.

You restored faith in humanity

My daughter (who is 4) and I went to devonshire mall to get our nails done, something we dont ever do but we needed some one on one time and my daughter needed some cheering up.
As we were getting our nails done we were talking with an amazing woman until her nails were finished and as this woman is paying for her nails she came back over to me and said "I want to pay for your daughters nails" and gave me 10$.
If you happen to read this I just wanted to say thank you again from the bottom of my heart you are a wonderful woman!!

Precious Memories

I live in Australia but I'm originally from Harrow. My mother wasn't well so we made a trip over in early August of this year and spent 5 weeks with her to get her back on her feet. Mom hadn't seen the riverside for years so we made a day of it. When we took my Mother and her partner around the riverside we took heaps of photos. Not just on our phones but on our camera as well and my mother was the type when she was ready to go she just got up and made tracks. She was a bit unsteady on her feet and was using a wheelie frame so we usually jumped up pretty quick to stay near her. While down at the flag we sat under a tree for a bit and well up we get and we're off. We got back to the car and this young fellow on a bicycle rides up to us and says "you forgot this miss" it was my camera loaded with heaps of precious memories.
When we left Amherstburg Mom was doing so well and was so happy that we made the trip over and that my sister came from Edmonton. Mom had her 2 girls together with her. Little did we know that this was the last time that it would happen. You see mom had a stroke and passed away peacefully with her siblings next to her.
So this young man has no idea just how special he is and I really wished I had gotten his name. We gave him a fridge magnet that says Cairns Australia and a couple maple candies.
Thank you young man we will forever be grateful for you!

Grateful for your help and kindness

I was driving on EC row Wednesday morning (September 26) in the pouring rain when I lost complete control of my SUV. I ended up on the other side of EC row in the left lane. Seconds after my car finally came to a stop a man came running towards me asking if I was ok. I was terrified and crying uncontrollably. The front of the car was stuck in the side of the median so he drove it out for me and then he proceeded to stop traffic so I can pull it over to the shoulder. He checked my car to make sure everything was ok and after giving me the ok he asked me if I live on a specific street. I looked at him a bit confused and before I could answer I found out he was the same guy that was doing construction in front of my parents house a few weeks earlier. My parent's driveway was blocked and I was very annoyed and impatient. It was maybe 35 degrees that day and my AC was not working, kids in the car and I just wanted to get inside. I should have been more kind and patient and realizing this was the same guy now going out of his way to help me I started crying even more and apologized to him. I'm usually the one giving construction workers water when they're working outside in the heat and I don't normally snap like this and I felt so incredibly bad. That day I went back outside to apologize and give them water but they were gone. And now here he was helping me in the pouring rain. He waited behind me until the road cleared so I can drive in front of him. And then I waived at him as I got off my exit. I managed to get his name. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, John. You are an incredibly kind and caring human being. You have no idea how grateful I am that you were there that day. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. Because of this I will be more patient and understanding. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I will never forget your help and kindness.
