Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Our beautiful SADIE went missing July 1st 2014 in the Fountain Blue area. She is 9 yrs old, extremely TIMID and has NEVER been outside!!! SADIE has very green eyes, is spayed, declawed and microchipped. She was wearing a red collar with a pink heart which has her name on the tag along with our phone #. She was wearing a tear away collar so it might have been torn off if she got snagged on something. Maybe u may know of someone who has acquired a full grown cat that fits her description within the last 4 months. My heart is broken, so please help me mend it!!! If u have any information, in box Jennifer Small, thank you.
This beautiful critter was found on Monday Nov. 3/ 14 on Manning Road and Baseline by my friend. HS and ALL Animals Services were informed and no one has come forward. We are hoping that a neighbour or family relative of the owner comes forward so we can solve this issue. We have exhausted all avenue and are now reaching out to the public. Please in box Jennifer Small. Serious inquiries only for there will be questions asked, thank you.
Attention all Windsor residents please help get our friend Paul Beresford his phone back --his phone fell out of his pocket at freshco at Tec/ Mcdougall and this person picked it up and rolled away with it ---Paul is a great guy and would like to get this back asap
I am a Guestroom attendant at Ceasars Windsor and after having a very long day of cleaning rooms, I came to notice a $20 bill sitting on my cart. Another Guestroom attendant also received the same. So I would like to say thank you very much, to the lets say "Secret Santa" that made our day. Very appreciative...you have been spotted for being so kind and generous. ;)
Today at the McDonalds on Manning Rd my daughter and I had the pleasure of meeting a local a author. While standing in line to order, the sweetest man came over and gave my daughter a Christmas book. To say she was thrilled was an understatement. Before we left we went over to thank the kind gentleman again.
That is when we found out he was local author Mr McCallum (notabrat.com). He took the time to read my daughter a couple stories. He is the most amazing story teller. My daughter was mesmerized!! So to you Mr McCallum you have been spotted!! Thank you for your kindness and sharing your love of books!!
A few nights ago, my 18 month old daughter and I were taking an evening stroll. We came upon Pillette and Tecumseh and there was a lot of construction. They were still working, despite it being dark outside. One man advised us not to walk on Tecumseh due to the construction, and recommended that we walk through the alley. Before I could turn around, in an effort to avoid a dark alley, two men, I believe their names were Joe and Enzo walked over and said "we will watch you and the baby walk through the alley safely." And they did. They stopped what they were doing. They yelled at us where to turn out of the alley and told us to have a good night. Then, they returned to work. I just wanted to thank and recognize them. Alleys can be frightening places and they ensured that we were safe and sound. I turned around every few steps and they were there watching us. Thank you.
To Nissa the manager at McDonald's on Huron line. You completely took ownership of the mistake on our order. You were professional polite and generous. Excellent customer service and a job well done. Boo boos happen but your response definitely made everything better. Thanks for all you do
This one is long over-due, but I wanted to write this as a tribute of appreciation to "The Appliance Doctor"
After moving into a new place, I discovered that my refridgerator, and later that same week, my washing machine had been damaged and were not functioning properly. I called the appliance dr, who came over the next day, found the problems, completed the repairs (at a great price) and displayed a high level of professionalism, paitience, & friendliness to my extremely curious little boy, who was just fascinated by the flashlight and all the tools the repairman had.
After discovering this site, I just wanted to thank you again! Not only for perfectly repairing my appliances, but also your kind gesture of giving my son your little flashlight to keep for his own.
His face lit up 10 times brighter than that little flashlight, and he still cherishes it till this day!
