Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Yesterday, December 13th around 6 p.m my grandmother was getting out of her car at a shoppers drug mart to put a card in the mail box. As she got out her foot got stuck on her purse strap and she fell out of her car. She ended up breaking her hip but 2 men came and helped my grandfather pick her off the ground and get her back into her car. Id like to find these men to say thank you!!
The gentleman in front of me went to pay for his order--and instead the cashier was giving him change. "The nice lady in front of you paid for your order," the cashier told him. "She wanted to leave before you found out." The nice lady had given her $100.
If you're out there and reading this, it warmed my heart to see that.
My car had broken its wheel off at around 7:00am on tecumseh rd west causing me to go into oncoming traffic I could not move the car out of the lane so I was sitting at the side of the road, cars nearly missing my car even tho my 4 ways were on and my phone had died so could not call for help. Nearly 20 to 40 cars had passed me when I believe he said he was a off duty firefighter had stopped and did not hesitate to help a young man in desperate need of a tow truck risking his own car and safety to help a person he did not know one bit.I would like to thank you very much for your help if you see this I made it home safe and sound thanks to you :)
to those 6 rude boys on the trasway 1C east bound this afternoon that got on at howard & tecumseh and got off tecumseh mall. I would like to say when a bus driver askes for your transfer you give it, and no need to be making bird noises. To the bus driver, you did a great job dealing with the situation.
Thank you to whomever left this note 📝 in my car's 🚙 door handle tonight. You made my day 🥰. If you're reading this, I wish the same for you ✨🌟.
Windsor,
Some of you may have seen me at the Devonshire mall this afternoon (Dec. 7) sporting a strange "Sherlock Holmes" greatcoat with an extremely strange (yet warm) hat.
To clear the air, am I in no way a racist nor do I sympathize with racist ideologies. I am merely a history buff and history RE-ENACTOR! The greatcoat I was wearing is from the Napoleonic era and is extremely comfortable and warm.
The hat (a Busby) although from a German battalion (at the time was allied with the British with absolutely NO CONNECTION with Nazi scum) was an elite German Hussar (cavalry) regiment from Brunswick which had a whole different look than the Deaths-head that you've all grown to known and associate with racist scum.
With that said, I want to thank those of you who've stopped to ask me about my regalia, knowledge is truly power. I was indeed breaking in my new hat for an upcoming re-enactment coming up in the New Year (it's handmade to fit snuggly around the head and can be very uncomfortable). For those of you who gave me a death stare (yeah, I noticed) and uttered threats and other unpleasantries towards me.... your ignorance is a life sentence in itself, your stupidity knows no bounds.
Again, thank you for all those who were inquisitive enough to boldly approach a stranger and learn something new (I hope)
Regards,
Sean
To the several individuals that stopped and helped me Monday, thank-you. Yesterday (December 3) I was walking along Grand Marais on my way to the South Windsor Vision Centre. I have MS and do walk with crutches but walking short distances usually isn't a problem. Yesterday was the exception to the rule. I fell between the driveway and the sidewalk of my destination; flat on my back.
One person stopped, then another and another. From the ladies who walked up and down Grand Marais, looking for my glasses to the gentlemen who stood me up and got me into the clinic, these everyday heroes made sure I was okay, got to my destination and was able to call my hubby.
I am okay. My pride was hurt the most. Falling down and not being able to stand up, well... it is not something I recommend you do in public. But if it happens to you, know that there are wonderful people walking among us. They will stop whatever they are doing, and help a complete stranger.
To the people that came to my aid (outside South Windsor Vision Centre on Grand Marais just east of Dominion) thank-you. I can't remember if I said this to each of you yesterday so I tell you all, you've been SPOTTED!!
I just want to thank Santa and Mrs. Claus for taking time out of their shopping to take a pic with my daughter and I. They where at the Metro on tec and central. My daughter is on cloud nine 😊!!!!!!
Merry Christmas!!!!!
