Our neighbours in the 1200 block of Tilston let their dog out every morning between 3 and 5 am. Then they let it bark for 20 minutes to come back in. I wanted you to know, neighbour, that this wakes up my dogs, causing them to bark and wake up our family. In the middle of the night. Regularly. I am hoping you'll see this and bring in the dog sooner. I am sure we are not the only neighbours experiencing this. Signing off at 4 am. Your neighbour.

My boyfriend and I would just like to sincerely thank the woman in a long blue coat in Value Village today (January 18th, 2015). We shared some common love over books and when my boyfriend and I were unsure if we could get a piece of exercise equipment, without blinking an eyelash you handed us a $5 to pay for it. We tried to respectfully refuse your money but you insisted you wanted us to have it to help pay for our purchases.
We both just thank you so much and even though others may think this is a simple gesture, it totally brightened our day as we are a young couple trying to begin our life together and for those who know what that's like, money can be tight.
We wish you the best of happiness in life and we will pay this good fortune forward.

From two book worms to another - you have been spotted.

almost hitting my car on Walker Rd. Sunday afternoon. You thought the lane was clear but did not take the time to look beside you. If you would have shoulder checked you would have seen me instead of causing me to drive into oncoming traffic to avoid you. If you are in that much of a rush leave earlier ! You happened to be going to Best Buy, just as we were. When I tried to tell you to look , you gave me the finger and implied I was nuts... amongst other words... how rude you are ! you could have said sorry... but when you started with the "F" bombs it's all fair game... and you do not have my permission to post the picture you took of me.

Be aware of the Marriott scam.
They call from a local number and play an automated system that says you've won a free room at the Marriott. If you accept and try to get the free room, a women or "real" person comes on the phone. You are then asked if you are over the age of 30. If you are not they say thanks and hang up right away. If you say you're 30 and over I am assuming they will ask for your credit card information to hold the room, and incase of any damages.
In the end there is no free room, and your information is then stolen.
This happened to me, fortunately I am under 30 so I got hung up on lol. I contacted Marriott angry at how I was treated for simply not being over 30, and they informed me they have no knowledge of this give away. They advised me to not give any information. I then contacted police who clarified it was a scam, as they had been called a couple days ago and given the same offer lol.
Be warned!
It shows up as a local number. If this happens to you advise the caller you know it's a scam and you are contacting police. Even just to give them a little scare and that we know. Friends of mine have also gotten this phone call in Toronto and London. So if you have friends in other cities advise them as well :)

My sons 4th birthday was at Adventure Bay. We were leaving when we realized we needed to find our car (someone else parked for us), we couldn't bring everything out with us, balloons and gifts etc it was too much. 3 gentleman were sitting having a chat. They were so wonderful. They watched our stuff while we went to find the car. Came back and they then helped me load the car. It was a great day topped off with meeting some nice new people! Thank u for all your help!

LITTLE CAT has been missing for just over a week now. He has in the past been "Pro Trapped by a neighbour & taken to Windsor/ Essex County Humane Society. This leads us to believe it may have happened again but with different circumstances like "Grab & Dump!!" He was last seen in the vicinity of Reynolds Crt & Vermont off Richmond St. in AMHERSTBURG, ON CANADA. LITTLE CAT is 5 years old, has green eyes, microchipped, neutered but NOT declawed. Our family & especially KNARLY, our little dog are praying for his return. As u can see he has very distinctive features, so if u cud PLEASE keep your eyes peeled for LITTLE CAT!! My father ..... asks nurses at Ouellette campus to go to the bathroom on a bedpan. Their reply "Just use the diaper you have on". Then come back 40+ minutes later to clean him up. How degrading to these people. My father worked for 37 years and paid taxes to be treated like this? He was a very athletic man, played baseball until he was 62 years old. And now at the age of 73 is forced to use a diaper... How disgusting....Animals are treated better than this.....Great signs advertising superior care in your lobby.... the truth is actually alarming.

With all the negative attention the E.Rs receive I would like to share a positive experience. Last Sun (Jan 11) I attended the E.R. at the Ouellette Campus. The waiting room had approx. 8 people there. I was registered and triaged quite quickly and was seen by the Doctor approx. 1/ 2 hour later.
When I first went in the nurse (I believe her name was Alyssa?) was quite nice and friendly. She started a blood sample and other tests that the Doctor would need to treat my problem. When the Doctor came in he had most of the info. he needed already and then ordered an xray. Alyssa came in several times to check on me and to assure that they were doing everything as fast as possible. The service that I received from this Nurse was phenominal and I feel that she deserves a shout out. Alyssa ( I hope that name is correct) Thank you for making my stay at the hospital much better.
