young gentlemen

To the two young gentlemen at Tim Hortons on Walker and Wyandotte today with the waterguns at approximately 1 or 2pm. You may be wondering why the girl at the counter told you your order was free.
I saw how you assisted the elderly woman with the cane who was having trouble stepping up from the parking lot to the sidewalk. One of you offered her your arm and helped her to the door. It may seem like a small thing but your kind gesture was noticed! People today seem to think all young people have no manners or courtesy but you certainly showed how well your parents raised you. I hope you have a wonderful day.

thank you

I just wanted to say thank you to the gentleman who called an ambulance for the woman crossing the street on Howard Ave. Unfortunately for the rest of you, you made it to the 'bad sightings' column :(

Is there no more humanity in this world?

Tonight at around 8:00pm while driving northbound on Howard Ave, there was an older woman on her hands and knees trying to cross the street while plenty of cars were driving around her and not stopping to help her. Obviously this woman was clearly needing help and not one of you can stop to help get her off the street so she don't get seriously injured or killed!!! What if that was one of your family members? Would you not want someone to help them? There were at least 30people standing around in front of Dairy Delight watching her but not one person moved to help her. What a disgrace. Where are the morals or compassion for other people? My cousin and I had 5 young kids in the car and stopped in the middle of the road to help her get safely across the road, while plenty of onlookers just watched and cars honking at us because we were blocking traffic. How rude can you be?? I understand there is plenty of awful things happening in this city, but to leave someone crawling in the middle of the road is low. My cousin had to ask a guy to call an ambulance for her. :( The lady had thanked us for stopping to help her and we even got a God bless you. I hope to God she's ok because we didn't have a chance to stay with her, and if she happens to read this I hope she knows that there are still some good people willing to help. To all those people who drove by her, and stood there watching... remember, what comes around, goes around and you know what they say about Karma.. she's a b**ch. Praying for the lady, we never did get her name.

McDonald's .. Manning Rd.

Have not been in a McDonald's in a long . Drive through yes. Occasionally
But my experience today was not good. It was not that busy . 2 other
People ahead of me . My order was wrong even though the bill says
It right. The place was a disgusting mess. For the reputation they have
I was shocked. Not one clean table to be found. So I decided to leave
And eat it in my car.
The had more then enough staff but I guess it was not important to
Them to take the time to clean. Too busy socializing with each other
So with this being said . It will be a long time before they see me again
I was a very disappointed customer.
Shame on McDonald's and the staff.

Those Who Stopped

This morning as I was merging off of E.C. Row on Jefferson my car hydroplaned and I swerved completely and ended up half way into the ditch. Boy did it scare me but luckily I am okay.
A huge thank you to the many concerned drivers who slowed down so I could give them the "I am Okay" Thumbs up and to a few who actually got out of their car in the windy rain to come talk to me. Particularly the woman on the phone who seemed more distressed than I was at that point. So many great people out there concerned for a strangers well being. I truly appreciate it.

Also a large thank you to the Windsor Police officer who waited for the 2 hour towing fiasco to resolve itself and made sure anyone taking that exit remained safe during the nasty weather!

Downtown Farmers Market

Despite heavy rain/ high winds and cool temps, there were still some vendors who displayed their goods, some surrounded by tarps to keep the "weather" out .. others just braving the rain covering their produce. People like me who attend the market no matter what the weather conditions, I would like to say thank you. To those vendors who decided it might be best to stay home, I don't blame you. You may have been the "wise" ones.

Kids Egging People

While walking my dog with my sister on Riverdale, a grey car with a bunch of kids/ teens decided to egg us. It hurt both my body and my feelings. Thank you for that. If you wanted to make someone cry, you succeeded. Just be weary, folks in the east end...
