Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I posted last week on Oct 8th about my car getting broken into. It was broad daylight around 2:15pm-2:25pm on Oct 8th on Ellis and McDougal. The person on a bike come from howard and brazingly just came up to all of our cars until he got to mine and smashed my window. This was in broad daylight and it was shift change so I am hoping someone had to have seen something or got a good look at him.
The walkerville dental office at Ottawa and Moy, has a dentist named Dr. Leventis, this dentist turned a very very stressful situation, into a much easier, not so difficult night. My daughter got into a bit of an accident and hurt her front teeth pretty bad, and even though we were only covered under healthy smiles and they don't accept healthy smiles patients, he did the work anyways that needed to be done. My daughter doesn't let dentists touch her mouth and Dr Leventis was so kind and so sweet to her. That he made it effortless for her and made her so comfortable. He was so good with her and I am so thankful that he rushed in on THANKSGIVING NIGHT to help my daughter feel better, and helped us out of the PURE kindness of his heart! Thank you so much Dr Leventis, I am so undeniably thankful, for your generosity!
To the Starbucks employee working the drive thru (Huron Church location) Sunday October 13th late afternoon. I was having a really bad day and looked visibly upset as I paid for my coffee and it was quite obvious by the tears pouring down my face. When I was handed the coffee I noticed the cute memo written on the cup you're amazing! :) thank you for that gesture. It meant so much to me!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my family and friends
If anyone finds a man's wallet with Denis Lacharite identification please let me know we were at Rockstar music hall and Backstage last night Saturday Oct. 12th
We parked on the corner of Langlois and Hanna
Thanks
To the blonde woman in sunglasses who walked out in front of me on Partington while I was driving - I have never been so close to hitting someone in my entire life - you walked out in front of my Jeep without a care in the world and I was one inch from hitting you. You saw me and shot me the finger as I honked at you. I saw the house you walked up to - the one with the RV in the driveway. I cannot believe the complete and utter ignorance and the complete disregard for both our safety. I am still shaking. I have had nothing but problems on this street and I'm sick of it. Had I hit you, it would have been my fault. I hope I never see you in this area again because if I do, you won't enjoy the encounter. Enjoy the rest of your day and I know karma will be there waiting for you.
As we celebrate this Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends it is also a time where we reflect on all things that we are thankful for. We are thankful to all the blood donors who help patients in need of blood and blood products wake up to a healthier tomorrow. If you are wanting to do something totally awesome consider donating blood. Many openings available. New donors & Walk ins welcome.

We went to Tanka Sushi on Walker road on October 2nd. My son loves this sushi place. We dont go very often but he asked to go for his Birthday dinner. While we were eating my daughter was jumping around not eating. There were two ladies behind us with a sweet little girl named Gabby. My daughter started to talk to them and they were very kind chatting with her. The more they talked with her the better I got her to eat. They asked how old my daughter was and my son pipped up excited saying he was 5 today and it was his birthday. When they were ready to leave they walked by the table and one handed my son a 5 dollar bill. She said 5 for five! We immediately said oh thats so nice thanks you really didnt have to do that. While saying this the next woman came by and handed him a 5 too and gave my daughter a toonie saying 2 for two. We really were so surprised and said thank you as they walked away. My son is just learing money and how it works so he really didnt understand the generosity but we sure did. We are teaching our children the importance of kindness in the world and this was a great example. We are now showing him what money means and what it can do for people. We are also going to use this to teach him how to pay it forward. Thank you to these kind strangers, your actions made my sons day and truely warmed my heart. We will definitely pay it forward.
