Oh and we even glow.
I just wanted to say thank you to the gentleman who purchased my McDonalds breakfast this morning at 8:30am at the Mcdougall location. It made my morning. I decided to "pay it forward" with the next car and I hope it made their day too.
Thank you
Today I heard my grandma yelling at my grandpa when I came home from school (in cantonese which I do not understand). When I asked my grandma why she was yelling at my grandpa, she said that someone stole his wallet from his pocket while he was walking home from Tim Hortons. She also told me that my grandpa tried to "fight" the thief off. My grandpa is an 83 year old Chinese man and enjoys going to Tim Hortons multiple times a day on Bruce and University. If you go there, you probably have seen him sitting there sipping on his coffee usually by himself. This story was heart-breaking to me because this is not the first time he has been taken advantage of for money. If you have seen anything on bruce and university ave, please let me know.
Happened today (October 22nd 2015) in the afternoon.
This post is a little late, but you know what they say, better late than never. My friend at work just told me about Spotted. I want to thank 2 EMS workers and a Windsor police officer for what they did for me last month. I was rushing around one morning trying to get myself ready for work and my daughter off to school when I fell down the stairs and broke my shin bone. I was in so much pain. I called 911 and they sent two amazing EMS workers who took great care of me. The guy's name was Paul, but I never caught the name of the girl who was driving the ambulance. Since there was no one to watch my daughter, the workers let her ride in the ambulance with us (she still talks about it). When we got to the hospital, I had to wait on the gurney since there were no open beds. But it was ok, because Paul and his partner made me feel so comfortable. My daughter on the other hand kept saying how hungry she was since I broke my shin before I had the chance to make her breakfast. So Paul took her hand, walked her down to the cafeteria and bought her breakfast. It was so sweet. While he was gone, his partner cleared a spot at a doctor's desk and then sat her down to eat. These 2 EMS workers were nothing short of amazing! There was a young police officer in the hallway who then offered to drive my daughter to school. She showed up to the school yard in a cruiser, all her friends were jealous. She still calls that day the best day of her life. I still call it my worst. I can't thank those EMS workers and the police officer enough. You truly are there for people at their absolute worst. I'm sure it's not in your job description to buy little girls breakfast or to drive them to school when their mom has a broken leg, but thank you for that. Thank you for everything you do. We are so lucky to have people like you in our city.
Today Eden lost her Rabbit. She has had it since she was born, she absolutely adores it! She needs it to get to sleep.
She went to LegoLand. I assume it was lost there.
Please if anyone has seen it please contact me!
Please like and share! We are desperate for it back. It's means the world to us.
Yesterday october 19 I was shopping at metro on the west end when a poor man collapsed and wasnt breathing. Ive been thinking of him all night and into today and am very curious as to his condition. Its truly amazing to see how many people surrounding this man and helped. The staff at metro and the shoppers with starting cpr...informing 911 and just doing the best they all could do to get this man back to life. Please please someone with any info please share so that I could have some comfort in knowing how this poor man is doing. I left when firefighters and paramedics were helping him.....
To the older gentleman walking into the Devonshire Mall this morning near the Tim Hortons entrance. My Grandfather passed away 11 years ago today. He was on my mind all morning. While walking out of the mall I looked your way and you were looking at me. You smiled, and your smile made me smile because I thought of my grandfather right at that very moment. I'm under the assumption you probably don't have Facebook, but if you do and you see this thank you. I did submit this in hopes to make someone else smile and hope that they return the favor, even if it's a random stranger. I love you grandpa and I'm sure that was you smiling down on me.
I wanted to say thanks again to the three people that helped me when my car was having problems in LaSalle! As soon as you guys seen I was in trouble you didn't hesitate to help, when a lot of people were just passing by even though I was stopped on a busy road. One of you called your dad who quickly showed up without question to remedy the problem and supply me with coolant and oil. I know nothing about cars so the help I was given is greatly appreciated.
