Thank you Windsor EMS & Police!!!

This post is a little late, but you know what they say, better late than never. My friend at work just told me about Spotted. I want to thank 2 EMS workers and a Windsor police officer for what they did for me last month. I was rushing around one morning trying to get myself ready for work and my daughter off to school when I fell down the stairs and broke my shin bone. I was in so much pain. I called 911 and they sent two amazing EMS workers who took great care of me. The guy's name was Paul, but I never caught the name of the girl who was driving the ambulance. Since there was no one to watch my daughter, the workers let her ride in the ambulance with us (she still talks about it). When we got to the hospital, I had to wait on the gurney since there were no open beds. But it was ok, because Paul and his partner made me feel so comfortable. My daughter on the other hand kept saying how hungry she was since I broke my shin before I had the chance to make her breakfast. So Paul took her hand, walked her down to the cafeteria and bought her breakfast. It was so sweet. While he was gone, his partner cleared a spot at a doctor's desk and then sat her down to eat. These 2 EMS workers were nothing short of amazing! There was a young police officer in the hallway who then offered to drive my daughter to school. She showed up to the school yard in a cruiser, all her friends were jealous. She still calls that day the best day of her life. I still call it my worst. I can't thank those EMS workers and the police officer enough. You truly are there for people at their absolute worst. I'm sure it's not in your job description to buy little girls breakfast or to drive them to school when their mom has a broken leg, but thank you for that. Thank you for everything you do. We are so lucky to have people like you in our city.
