Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Next year I don't wanna hear about the Emmys, the Oscars, or Golden globes. I don't want to see a single pathetic actor, actress, singer, celebrity or sports person on any red carpet!!
Next year I want to see nurses , doctors, ambulance crews, pharmacists, home care workers, support workers, grocery store workers, farmers, ranchers and truck drivers having free red carpet parties with awards and expensive goodie bags. If this doesn't happen it will be the biggest injustice ever!!
Thank you. all of you that are working hard to keep me safe and allow me to have food on my table.
I'm a cashier and trying my best to put a smile on people's faces during this rough time. Please be patient with us. Be kind and follow the stay at home rules when you can.
Sending love to all 💋
Please stop stealing. We are all going through tough times. Yesterday as I sat waiting outside of Shoppers on Howard & Tecumseh I witnessed the security guard approach two people outside the store who he just witnessed stealing. I know employees that work there and they have enough going on without having to deal with that.
I was coming home from Metro on Wyandotte with a full load of groceries when the wheels fell off my bundle buggy. Thank you to the wonderfully kind lady who turned around and gave me a ride home. In this scary time it was greatly appreciated.
This morning Mon Mar 30, my friend found money at Shoppers drug mart University Mall.
My friend left her phone number with staff and owner will have to identify. Apparently the owner did ask about if anyone found it, but then left before it was found.
hopefully rightful owner will see this. Tough times for all right now.
On March 29 2020, after a long shift at Windsor Regional Ouellette Campus, I found a beautifully drawn thank you card. So I just wanted to give a huge shout out to the kind and thoughtful individual(s) that made such lovely thank you cards for healthcare workers, and left them on our windshields for us to find after we were done work. It definitely put a smile on my face on my way home from work tonight :)
I just want to shutout many of the unsung heroes in this whole pandemic, focussing on hospital staff in this post. Nurses doctors are absolutely heroes and super strong, but anyone working right now also is. One of the main unsung heroes I found are the security guards. I know theyre underpaid as it is, but they show up everyday and work to keep everyone safe. They show up to calls not knowing what to expect, and are consistently dealing with melt downs of the public be it for rules they dont agree with, or dealing with emotional times.
So thank you security for holding it down so everyone else's job is safer.
I received the most beautiful gift tonight after my shift, tucked under the wiper blades of my car in the parking lot.
A handmade thank you card, unsigned.
I don't know which blessed child made this for us, but if I may be so bold as to speak on behalf of health care workers everywhere...
You're welcome. Thank YOU for thinking of us and taking the time to show your support.
Hopefully they see it somehow and know how grateful I am for their gesture.
