Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
SPOTTED: A PSW on her day off, decided to go visit a nursing home with her two small dogs. Not because she was required to, not because she was asked to, simply because she wanted to. Not to visit any ONE person, but because she new there were some lonely people who wouldn't otherwise receive visitors and who were animal lovers.
Animals love unconditionally and by bringing them to the home to put a smile on some faces, she also loves unconditionally.
to the PSW who visits with puppy kisses,
You've been SPOTTED!
To anyone who is missing a black and white cat around St. Clair College with a cone on his head. I brought him to the humane society. I figured he must have escaped since he had the cone on and clearly belonged to someone. Hope the owner sees this!
Signed, avid animal lover who didn't want the poor cat to freeze.
Yesterday I took my son and 5 of his friends out to Swiss Chalet for my son's 9th birthday lunch. While we were sitting there a man came up to the table and said "I hear it's someone's birthday, who's birthday is it" to which my son replied "it's mine". The man asked how old he was and then wished him a happy birthday and a Merry Christmas and walked away. We were so thrilled that someone actually took the time out of their day to come over and have a personal conversation with him, that hardly never happens. A few minutes later our waitress came to the table and told us that the gentleman that had come over had paid for the entire meal. That was 6 children and three adults. We were so shocked, tears started rolling down our faces....it was an amazing act of kindness that will never be forgotten by any of us, it sure did show all those kids first hand just how good it feels to do for others. From a very honored mom!
Just wanted to let you know that the Town of Essex is having their Santa Claus Parade on December 14th, with the parade starting at 6:30 pm. All information on the parade can be found on the following link: http:/ / www.canadasouthfestivals.com/ event-114/ essex-santa-claus-parade
Just want to vent about it horrible Santa experience at Devonshire today. Free or not an hour and a half wait and then pushed out by the next family after 30 seconds and 4 quick snaps. Didn't even get a chance to try and get my 10 month old to not be scared by Santa! Ridiculous! They definitely didn't longer on the bigger kids talking to Santa and pushed my babies aside like they weren't as important! So sad!
Spotted: I just wanted to say my fiancee and I took our 2, 16 year old daughters to the windsor santa claus parade and was very dissatisfied. This parade needs to move back to ouellette where it seemed more festive and alot more spectators. Also having this parade along the river makes it more cold and uncomfortable for all as I stood there and witnessed myself watching many people leave before it was half over and the floats are not anywhere what they used to be. There used to be so much effort put in to this parade that made it seem magical. Now it feels like you are in the middle if nowhere watching a small town parade. I will say though it was so nice to see all the smiles on the little ones faces. And the little boy in the blue and white checked snowsuit with the santa hat on you made the parade by entertaining everyone and dancing for us all in the middle of the road before the parade even started you were a champ!

To my son, due to his quick thinking and actions, got his co-worker safely out of their plant after an explosion, and knew enough to open the bay doors, so the fire did not spread throughout the entire plant ! I pray that his co-worker that received 2nd degree burns is ok, and recovers quickly !I am so thankful they both got out safely !!
Signed a VERY PROUD and relieved Mum.
