Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My two girls and I stopped into the outlet mall dollarama today to grab a few basic foodstuffs out of necessity. Having had a very stressful time of late, I was annoyed to find that my card was declined at the checkout (an issue with the bank I'd thought was resolved). After telling the cashier that I'd come back for it with cash later,
I turned to let my girls buy their little treats (purchased with their own change), when a very sweet woman from the line behind us stepped forward and paid for our $13 bag of food before the cashier could cancel the order.
I was struck silent by her generosity, and could not thank her enough. I was very nearly brought to tears realizing her generous act saved us from another 30 min walk in this cold windy weather.
So this this is just a shout out to that wonderful woman who helped a struggling single mom today, and whose generosity helped my girls understand the true meaning of the holiday spirit. Thank you, and best wishes for a happy holiday season to you too!
It's a timing of care and giving, so in the event of the Bright Lights held at Jackson Park (Windsor, Ontario) by the City of Windsor. We've decided we want to give back, from December 8th-7th we will be raising money in various ways to support the W.E. Care for Kids Foundation.
Raffle Tickets will be sold at the park and at Eddys.
FREE HOT CHOCOLATE will also be handed out to anyone who stops by the restaurant!
My kids' bus driver was recently replaced. We really loved their old driver and miss him and we'd like to get a Christmas card to him. But for privacy reasons, I'm pretty sure the bus company won't give out that information. I'm hoping maybe someone that knows him will see this and be able to help us out. His name is Jay.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the woman at the dollar tree in Tecumseh. You saw I was having a rough day today and said a prayer, gave me a hug and some kind words. I don't even know how to express how much this helped me. I'm bipolar and have been having a very rough couple of weeks. I had no one to talk to and I had gotten some horrible news today and was starting to have a mental meltdown but your kindness stopped me from spiraling out of control. Thank you so much for the kind words and may you and your family have a blessed holiday season.
Thank you sooo much to the lady driving the black chrysler 300 at the tims on ouelette right next to staples! Although there were many cars I let you into the line since there are a few different directions cars come from in the drive thru and you came and paid for my entire order of an ice capp and breakfast sandwich. Thank you sooo much, I cried right after with christmas coming up money has been very tight lately and this made my morning so much brighter.
This is a long shot but my husband lost a 2016 F150 key in or around the Ciacioro Club Saturday night. Single key on a dealer key chain. If found please message 519.996.3930
A family friend of ours lost a family member this past weekend and my husband and I wanted to do something kind for their family. We decided to call and ask if the Caboto Club would be able to throw a dinner together for us to bring to them. The woman on the phone said they don't normally have the kitchen up and running unless there is an event going on, however, she'd ask to see what they can do. We wanted to thank Stan and the Caboto staff who went above and beyond in preparing dinner for our friends, providing much more food then we had ordered, especially on such short notice. Stan told my husband that the Club would do anything for a family in need. Thank you again for your kind service and warm hearted condolences.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Transit Windsor and the people of Windsor!
I was on my way to volunteer at the hospital and when I got there, I realized my wallet wasn't on me. I called customer service and the agent (I believe his name was Kevin) was so helpful and kind and alerted all the drivers. My family was able to pick it up when the bus arrived at Tecumseh mall, so thank you to Annie the driver!
Also a last thanks to whoever handed it in. Only $20 was missing (I guess a finder's fee!). All my credit cards and IDs were still there.
Thank you so so so much!
