Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My husband and I work opposite shifts so someone is always home with our three young children, thus we are kinda stuck when it comes to shovelling snow until after the kids are in bed or we are both home. My brother in law has been doing our side walks for days, and My "kid mobile " has been stuck in the snow for 6 days. Today a coworker of mine came over and spent 2 hrs digging out my van so I could pick up my son from school today. Shawn and Mike , You've been spotted !
On October 28th I welcomed my beautiful baby boy into the world. Due to some issues he had to go to the NICU for a total of 5 days. He had several nurses that where wonderful, but one nurse in particular was outstanding, her name is Laura. Each day that I saw her she made me smile. Taking such wonderful care of my little guy. It was so difficult not being able to bring him home right away, but I knew he was in good hands. Not one of the nurses where judgmental just positive that me and my son where now healthy! I will never forget what she did for my son and myself and we think of her often!! Nurse Laura and the rest of the NICU staff you have been spotted for your compassion and for the loving care you provide to these beautiful little babies!!
An amazing man to his family & also to countless children in the community thru his work at Children's Aid Society & as a Foster Parent. He had the patients of a Saint, worked tirelessly to get thru to some very challanging kids...lived to help others & will be missed by sooo many! After a couragous battle with a terrible infection...he's at peace now...always in our hearts...you have been spotted for your genuine want to helps others in any way you could
I would like to give a big thank you to my husband. It has still been pretty cold the last couple days not as bad as Tues. However you are at work in the cold for 10 hrs a day. Your devotion & dedication to provide for your family has been spotted. I know it doesn't get said often enough how much you are appreciated for your hard. I know on many occasions you would have much rather be home where it warm, but you went to work regardless. This goes not only to my husband, but to ALL you brave individuals that have to work in cold & wet conditions. So thanks!
From a grateful wife & 3 yr old daughter
This morning on my way to school, I saw two of Windsor's finest pushing a mini van that was stuck in the snow at the corner of Eugenie and Dougall at the Petro Canada. WTG guys I know it was cold and early but that's what we Windsorites like to see. It's these small things that keep my faith in our community.
You have been spotted,
Signed a proud Windsorite
I'd like to share with you that I had a very encouraging encounter with 4 very professional Ambulance attendants and Police Officers last night who helped with a situation. They had every right to be miserable. What ever their high pay was last night, it should have been doubled. It was a difficult situation for sure and they provided great service to their community. I have no idea who they are but just wanted to remind everyone that GOOD PEOPLE STILL LIVE IN WINDSOR ESSEX.
Thank you to the two ladies in the car that stopped when they witnessed the accident we were in. Thank you for your concern on my safety and for passing your information along to us as you witnessed it. No one else who witnessed it stayed. But you two ladies did. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My husband and I appreciate it!
I want to thank the two gentlemen who stopped to help me get my stuck car out of the snow on St. Luke around 2:20pm. You helped me more than you know!
