Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
After our latest snow storm I noticed a plea from a mom in Wheatley on a buy and sell group who was very concerned about having access in and out of her home because of the medical issues her son has, she was also concerned about her Disabled Sister in Harrow. I then took that plea and posted it to my status just in case it might help it get a little more attention and within minutes my status was tagged with the name Ron Thibert a complete stranger... With no hesitation Ron answered the plea! Ron had a large piece of machinery at this ladies house 6:30 the next morning digging her family out and then proceeded to her sisters house to dig her out! THANKS TO Ron Thibert and his kind heart the family was able to get meds needed and clear access to their homes! You have been spotted Ron Thibert!
I have posted a picture of one of the driveways Ron cleared out!
I'm looking for a temporary home for my 1 year old sharpei pug mix. She's about 30 pounds, house trained, amazing with kids (been with my 2 year old since she was 10 weeks old), extremely affectionate, spayed, shots up to date and chipped. I recently ended things with my ex and I'm currently between houses until about April and where we stay now won't allow dogs. My son and I both love her and obviously don't want to get rid of her for good. If anyone is interested or has any questions please comment on this post and I will send you a private message!
Thank you so much!
To the driver of the black Chevy SUV that clearly hit (and ran) a silver car in the Penalty Box parking lot 1/ 9/ 14 around 8pm: I saw you.
To arnot McCallum (local story book author) who took time out of his day today to read one of his books to my daughter today and autograph it and give it to her to keep! So nice of you!
A big THANK YOU to the two wonderful ladies at state farm, for letting me use their phone and letting me stay inside with them in the warmth today after locking my keys and cell phone in my car. You truely made me feel better by telling me stories of how you've done this before, and offering me something to drink, and as awkward as it was you made me feel at home by having general conversation with me while I waited for my spare key to arrive!! Thank you again for the simple act of kiindness, which seems so simple but ment so much to someone who was stuck!! You to have been spotted, I hope you both have a wonder year!!!
Me and my uncle were going to St. Clair college today because his son is in dental hygiene and when we went to pay at the machine a guy gets out of his car and says here don't pay use this its good until midnight pass it on! How awesome is that!
The grade 3/ 4 class from St John the Evangelist school in Woodslee! We made a music video for a contest put on by Community Living Ontario about inclusion. They are very proud of their video! I am very proud of them!

Today I was at the Barrel House in Sandwich town and i just want to comment on the customer service i experienced. IT WAS AMAZING! I have gone there many times before and every time i get the same person as my server and he works so hard to make sure that we have the best experience and the best food possible.
If you haven't gone there yet i totally suggest it. Thank you Barrel House in Sandwich Town for always making my day a little better when i am there!!
