a voice with a smile

Today I visited my regular Tim Hortons on Tecumseh and Chandler, I am an elderly who just recently lost a husband and have been in remission for one year keep in mind. Some days I can be so negative on myself, I went for my usual small coffee after having dreams of my late husband all night and really being in the most depressed mood. A woman name Amanda came over the speaker and I know I was a little bit rude to start off with but she did not let it get to her. You could tell she had the biggest smile while taking orders I appreciate the early morning positivity it stayed with me through the the day. As well when I was waiting the extra long time for my breakfast she proceeded to tell me my hair looked gorgeous. I appreciated the boost of self confidence it truly kept me positive throughout the day. I hope her employers see her and commend her for this, a bright face on a gloomy day. My best experience at a tim Hortons I strongly recommend visiting the Tecumseh and Chandler location for a friendly boost to your day Amanda whoever you are I truly appreciated it.

Signed a lonely and sometime miserable older woman

THANK YOU!

Spotted, SHAZER! Thank you so much! You helped me get my car out of a snow bank. Before you stopped, about 17 cars passed watching me struggle trying to push my own vehicle out of its sticky situation. Your kindness is very much appreciated and I hope good Karma comes your way. Thank you again!

Coco paving worker digs out car from snow bank

An awesome coco paving worker was plowing our street and he stopped in front of our house, which I thought odd but then that's when I noticed a neighbour was stuck in a snow bank and was on hands and knees trying to dig out. The Coco guy had gotten out and chatted for a second returned to his plow turned around and proceeded to plow as much of the snow bank outta the way to make room for the car to get out. Thanks for taking time outta your long work hours to help a stranger.

Friendly snow-blowing neighbour

My husband and I moved in to our house on Coventry court in September. Its been a challenge to learn how to be new home owners but our neighbours have made it easier! Three times this winter our driveway has been cleared of snow and our garbage cans and recycling bins always seem to find their own way to side of the house. Thank you friendly neighbours! Expect a cake soon!!!! :)

Smokers w/ Kids on Family Day

Wow! Just want to give a shout out (in the MOST sarcastic way possible), to all of the jerk parents that I witnessed at Devonshire Mall on Family Day (February 17th, 2014), who INSISTED on dragging your families w/ small children outside so you can SMOKE. Way to be a parent! Not only are you exposing your little ones to carcinogens, you are exposing them to the elements for your own selfish reasons. You, my dear selfish friends, are a**holes!!! There is too much information available nowadays, so please do not claim ignorance. WE ALL KNOW BETTER!!!

Irresponsible Dog Owner

I didn't think people still did this. But here is a huge beautiful dog in the back of a red pickup that was going down Tecumseh Road East near Central this afternoon. I am pretty sure this is illegal. But if not, it should be!

ENERGY ONE

I normally wouldn't vent negatively online, but I'm hoping this will get to some of those employers or employees. So they can work at changing these unprofessional assertive sales tactics. Maybe different incentives for sales or more advertising?......
*To anyone who works for a company going door to door, or knows someone that does, PLEASE DO NOT HOLD MY DOOR OPEN AND PUT YOUR FOOT IN BETWEEN THE DOORS!!! First off its OBNOXIOUS and second off its CREEPY!!! Trust me I didn't hear a word they said because I was distracted by this behavior and concerned for my safety. If you have to do this to sell your product to someone, then the company you're working for prb isn't legit or worthwhile in the first place! I understand that the sales ppl are just trying to make a living....but please don't PUSH yourself in my door unless you want to leave in HANDCUFFS NEXT TIME! Ok rant over....I HATE door to door sales ppl! lol
Btw : I LOVE LOVE this site! Keep up the great work!

Help I have been robbed.

I was out with the family attending a pasta fundraiser on family day. To our surprise we came home to realize someone hade broken into our home. Many valuable treasures were taken. Lots of jewelry money and a large coin collection but most important were the electronics. The family computer, tablet and ipod were most valuable to me. Thousands of family pictures and memories lost due to someone's ignorance. I am asking your help if any knows the whereabouts of these items. I honestly really just want my photos back. The ipod is white and the login page has cupcakes on it. The computer is a hp touchscreen 14 inch and the login page was black with green lettering. The tablet was an acer in a black leather flip case the login screen is marble like artsie colors. I am willing to give a reward. Please if anyone knows of the items please contact the police.
