Safe Driver in the snow

Ryan you have been spotted. My son had to go pick up his friend from the Detroit airport and asked for my car. I had no issue with giving him my car till i saw that he was planning to drive in the blizzard that was going on this evening Driving on Huron Church was very bad, all lanes were hidden and the US roads were even worse. He drove slowly and very carefully and brought us back safe and sound. When we reached home while shoveling the driveway ( note at 11pm at night ) on Feb 17th 2014 he asked me if I had spotted the car sliding i said No and I was glad he did not tell me as I was scared as it was of the roads. so thank you Ryan for being a very safe and patient and good driver in the snow. Just as an fyi my son is under 25 so as insurance companies say he is in the high risk category. i am very proud of him and his safe driving skills. He drove slow and was very careful. I did not even need to remind him to drive slow
Thank you Ryan and i am very proud of you
Love a proud mother of a safe and good driver

I would like to say a huge thank you to the Red Cross Disaster Response Unit. I was burned out of my home this summer from a fire that broke out in my building. 2 ladies from this unit stayed half the night with me at the hospital. Further, the Red Cross blanket that you gave me was more appreciated than you can imagine...it was all I had for comfort. Not only that, this unit paid for me to stay in a hotel for 3 days, all meals included, gave me a voucher for McDonald's to get something to eat before arriving at the hotel, paid the taxi fare, and also provided me with a voucher for Wal-Mart to purchase some clothing, as I left my home with the clothes on my back. I also want to say thank you to the cab driver for patiently waiting while I was in getting some food, as well as the paramedics on site who pulled me out of my smoke-filled home, and the staff at Hotel-Dieu for their compassion. Had it not been for all of you, I don't know what would have happened...I had only been living in this city a few short months, and with no friends/ family here, I don't know where I would have gone. It was an unfortunate way to spend my birthday, but all of you made a horrible situation a lot easier to contend with. You have all been spotted.

Wind Mobile 3873 Walker Rd.

After paying bills over bills with I don't know what charges they come up with, I walked into the Wind store on Walker road and decided to give it a try. I activated a sim card and tried it out for a week and was pleased with the service and ended up porting my number. it has been two months and still happy with the service. I was also pleased with the service from the staff at the store; The rep. helped me activate my family on wind as well and also helped to transfer all my contacts from my old phone to my new phone.

Signed, a happy customer.

hit and run

Thanks to the kind girl who knocked on my door to let me know someone smashed the mirror off my car. And also to the person who left a note on my windshield saying they too witnessed the hit and run that happened on George ave this afternoon. I appreciated your concern and for taking the time to try and help. Unfortunately without your names or contact info I don't have a witness and there is nothing the police can do for me. And to the 50-60 yr old woman who decided to take off after seeing the damage she caused, well had you left your info, I probably would've worked something out with you. You get what you give, and you'll get yours lady.

Just hoping he sees this....

I work at Mappins at Devonshire mall , there is a young man who came in with his girlfriend. I hope someone knows who he is and can tell him , I would like to add him to My Facebook. This is not in a creepy kind of way. I'm a Mom of an 18yr old too. But I just want to be able to keep in contact with him. He came in before and I had VERY good and deep conversations with him , like he was my own son. I just want to be able to let him know that I am always here to talk , if he ever needs to. He came in again today with his gf and called me by name! I loved it. I know I have touched his life and I just want to be able to stay in touch with him. I see so much potential in him and just want to be able to help keep him going in the right direction and to always remember he has a friend in me. I think he is about 16-17 maybe ......I could be wrong. His gf name is Ocean. They were at Devonshire today.
Please ...if you know him ....tag his or ask him to come back to see me or ask them for my name. (Last name since he already knows my name )
I would appreciate it. Even tho I am sure I would see him again, I am just not 100% I will and don't want to miss this opportunity to let him know this way. :-)
*gosh I hope this don't sound weird*

to the person walking by my grandmas house that helped her get into her house. My grandma got home around 11am today and couldn't unlock her front door. She is able to do this all the time and for some reason even when using the right key it wouldn't unlock even though the key turned. She called me and I was on my way over to help her. When I got there she was inside just about to call me and tell me she got in. Turns out a guy walking his dog seen her walking to her car and she looked concerned. He asked if she was ok and she told him her key wouldn't unlock her door. He took the keys and tried himself. After a little playing around he got it open and left her a name and number for a locksmith he always uses.

Thank you for helping my grandma out today, it was a good story she told me so I wanted to share in hopes you see it and know how thankful we are.

Beginner skaters without hemets= bad parenting

Yesterday and today I brought my two children ice skating, yesterday to Lansbury and today to Tecumseh arena. I love seeing all the parents and children skating around it is nice to see people slowing down to spend time with their kids, HOWEVER I know it's not law (yet, hope it becomes law) that children do not need to wear helmets but why on God's green earth would you let your child who cannot skate go without a helmet? I was wondering if you don't think their skull smashed on the ice isn't a problem? Or do you just think it's best to see what happens and just sue after? I also want to know why you feel that yesterday at the OUTDOOR Ice rink you feel your child does not need gloves? Did you not see their hands burnt red and trying to keep them warm in the sleeves of their coat? Not to mention not wearing a helmet and letting them wing it!! I swear there should be some sort of test you need to take before conceiving children and please do not say you cannot afford gloves or a helmet, stop drinking your Tim Hortons and smoking on your smokes maybe just one day and purchase these items, or don't go until you can afford them, you can even get used helmets (and I know people are going to say it's best to buy new, used ones could of been in an accident but at this point a helmet at any degree is better than none to protect these children's heads) Happy family day all, and please remember, you only have one shot at this parent thing, do the best you can protect your children at all costs!! You won't want to push your child in a wheel chair who will never be able to skate again because they smashed their head on a ice rink and YOU could of prevented!!
