I was shopping at the East End Value Village looking for books for my six month old daughter. I came across one titled "There's a Mouse In My House". On the inside cover is written "To Alex & Spencer , Love Mommy & Daddy Oct/ 98" ... The book looked cute but it was the handwritten note taped onto the inside cover that was the deciding factor in my purchase. The note read:

This book brought me a lot of joy & memories. Sitting with my Mom in her bed, listening to her read. It was a favourite for both of us. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. -Spencer

How incredibly sweet and how could I not buy this book for my own daughter to share with. She is a bit young for it now but in a few years I hope to share it with her & I hope that reading to her in my own bed will be as joyous of a memory for her as it was for you.
