Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
to the mom and daughter rockstar team on mcdougall this morning by Kennedy high school:
this morning I came up a puppy short when I went to let the dogs back in the house. turns out the awesome dude who checks my meter left the gate wide open (again :-|) and I didn't realize when I originally let them out. I was frantic when I didn't see my missing shihtzu anywhere. she was originally my grandmas dog and came to stay with me after my grams passed away and her new owners couldn't take care of her, so she's extra dear to me. she's also a k9 princess ninja and has literally no stranger danger at all when it comes to car rides. she'll get in anyone's car and expect them to drive her somewhere. anywhere. apparently she headed straight for mcdougall where all the traffic was, bettering her chance to flag down a chauffeur and attempted to get into random peoples cars. a passerby took pitty on me standing in the road looking like a tool with no shoes on and pointed down the road where I could see a mom hanging halfway out her SUV and holding my dog in places while she continued to try to climb in. u said the first lady she car across shooed her away, which makes me extra thankful that when she tried to climb into your SUV, you grabbed her collar while your daughter looked around for a lost and panicked owner and made sure she didn't take off again.
I was a bit rushed when I thanked u cause I was headed to the hospital to visit my mom and was already late but I thought u needed a proper acknowledgement. I've had probably the hardest week of my life so and I'm pretty sure my grandmas dog getting hit by a car would have been my breaking point and more than I could handle. that sounds selfish as I say it but I'm sure you know what I mean. so I just wanted thank you again ladies for keeping my naughty ninja safe & lt;3 I've tried to teach her how dangerous it is to run around a moving vehicle but someone always stops and opens the door, so in her eyes it's a win on her part. in real life though it makes me want to crawl into a fetal position and suck my thumb. I don't understand how people raise children and make it out alive. it's terrifying lol.. you obviously did a good job though as your daughter was right there helping :)
sincerely,
frantic and fetal position
