Today my faith in humanity was restored. I was in a very big hurry while at a TD Canada Trust drive-thru. I was distracted by the fact that envelopes are no longer needed to deposit cheques. "Hmmm... this is something new," I thought. Anyway, the machine rejected my cheque, as the screen stated that the cheque couldn't be "read". I still needed cash to give to my son for his very first trip out of town on his own, and I was running behind schedule. I took out the money, but in my rush to go inside to find out why the cheque was rejected, I completely forgot to grab the money from the machine! When I discovered that I didn't have the money in my wallet, I returned to the bank to check the drive thru machine but nothing was there. What are the chances that someone returned the money? I went inside to find out, and sure enough someone had returned the cash to the teller. Wow! That made my day! A kind and honest person had returned my son's spending money for his trip! Thank you!
