Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I am a divorced father of 2 and I was with them on Canada Day during the Parade in Windsor. I had one of my kids on my shoulders and the older one (8) was walking next to me. She asked if she could switch and go onto my shoulders but I couldn't do that because my youngest was way shorter. I gave her a kiss and she understood and just held my hand. This lady standing next to us (probably in your late 20's)overheard our conversation and asked if I wanted her to take my youngest so I can hold up my older Child. I said it's ok I didn't want to bother her, and she insisted. She took her and we watched the parade, she was there with her mother and father. After the parade my daughter came back to me and she said thank you to the lady. I thanked her and she turned and said You are welcome. She then said "I have to say, it was nice meeting you and your kids. You seem like a very caring father. Your daughters are very lucky.
I have to say that I felt amazing after hearing that. I know my kids love me but for a person from the outside looking in notices that and says something....well that's golden.
Thank you for making my day/ week
