Kindness Given In a Heartbreaking Moment

I was shopping at the Dollarama next to Movati yesterday when I received devastating news about my cousin that just passed away from a horrible car accident. I broke down in Dollarama and once I gathered myself, I had to check out because I knew I wouldn't be able to come back before Christmas after receiving such heartbreaking news. The cashier saw I was distraught and asked me if I was okay and if everything was OK and what she could do to help me. I broke down and told her what I had just found out, and she asked if she could hug me. She gave me the tightest hug and let me cry on her shoulder. Then a customer walked up to me and told me she had seen me crying and asked if she could give me a hug. She said, I'm not sure what happened, but just know you are loved. I broke down in this strangers arms who squeezed me and hugged me and gave me a kiss. I thanked them both and walked out. The customer saw me in my car - I had left my door open because I was hyperventilating, and she came to check on me. She offered to take me somewhere or drive me home. She didn't want to leave me in my state. Once I assured her I would be ok, I shared with her about my cousins tragic and sudden passing. She asked for his name and asked if she could pray for him. I told her I would appreciate it. And I thanked her again.

Honestly, my interaction with both the cashier and customer gave me such comfort in such a tragic and devastating moment. I didn't catch either of their names, but if you read this, you will know who you are and know that your act of kindness comforted me more than you can imagine. I thank you both from the bottom of my heart.
