This weekend I spent my day volunteering at the Special Olympics baseball tournament and witnessed somethings worth sharing. While the teams were having lunch a local band was entertaining everyone with their fun upbeat music. They started encouraging the children to join them and be a part of the band. The smiles and excitement coming from the faces of these young athletes was truly amazing. After the show they allowed a few players to play the drums, as everyone stood around watching and clapping it reminded me of how a simple kind act can bring such joy to everyone around. It took only a few moments to warm the hearts of everyone around. Thank you for reminding me what it means to let others feel included and what a little encouragement can do for a child or teen!!
