Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To one of the Conveners in the Hockey for Hospice Tournament, a thank you for noticing and correcting a complete goof-up on the score sheet at our game in Lasalle for the semi finals yesterday, where the time keeper wrote in the score of our double overtime victory incorrectly, falsely giving our opponents the victory and putting us out of the tournament wrongfully. Nice heads up play Mr Convener! You caught it, corrected it and we ultimately went on to win the Atom C Championship Thanks for having your head in the game!

I spotted this story and wanted to share.
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less from people but more from yourself.
You have two choices... smile and close this page,
or pass this along to someone else to share the lesson

Spotted : To the heartless person who hit my car in the Devonshire mall parking lot today while I worked I just want say thank you for not leaving me a note or reporting yourself. And for ruining a university students Christmas break. I look forward to forking out what little money I do have and racking up a nice credit card bill in order to fix the damage you did to my car. I sincerely hope karma comes back to you and any others who does this to someone's vehicle. You don't deserve the privilege of driving if you don't have the decency of owning up to your accidents.
Happy holidays.
Signed,
An upset mall employee.
Spotted : To the young waitress at East Side Marios on Saturday December 28th evening: Thank you to much for singing Happy Birthday to our 3 year old daughter even though no other servers could/ would sing with you. You were so sweet to continue with it alone rather than just say "sorry, no one can do it". It really made my heart swell to see this.
We also were so impressed with your honesty at a perceived mistake in your favour. ~*She assumed the tip we left was a error on our part on the debit machine and came running over to tell us we must have made a mistake as we were leaving.~* We hope you had a wonderful birthday as well and enjoyed the rest of your evening.
Again, thank you for singing Happy Birthday to our 3 year old daughter and coming over to ensure we had not made an error on our debit transaction - your honesty and sweetness made our evening memorable and so pleasant!
Signed: A happy mom & dad
