How on earth does Windsor even rate compared to municipalities like London, Chatham-Kent, Kitchener, Greater Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Brampton and Mississauga, and the regions of Halton, Niagara, Waterloo and Durham. I'm pretty sure they are doing much better financially than Windsor. And when I read this part, "He thinks only cities outside of the GTA should be used for future comparisons." Ohhhh did you include GTA in this comparison (commissioned study)??? I totally agree GTA has more qualified staff and should make more,we don't even compare!! GTA a whole different ballgame!!! City of Windsor managers, should manage Windsor before even considering taking more tax money from us!! Seriously, go to these other places, see what's actually being done...lots, mega changes!!! Look at what Windsor has to offer compared to some of those municipalities..NADA!!! But it's ok... our unemployment rate is high (including city workers from budget cuts), most of our roads are past due for repair ( not just from this winter Drew, just a continuous quick fill, every year!!), jobs are contracted out in many fields, many areas of dispute by many taxpayers,!!! It would be great if we (Windsor) were booming like many of those other cities, we are being deprived of what our tax dollars could really do for this city!! We are faaar from booming, not even a glimpse!!! Take Kitchener and Waterloo for instance, been there? growing like crazy!!! So many changes all over those municipalities, so upbeat, non stop changes in infrastructure all over!! You should be ashamed that Windsor taxpayer money goes to such petty stuff, like Christmas lights, fixing an ice cream train or whatever it will be?? How much true revenue did or will any of that bring into Windsor? Windsor needs to be competitive, not by giving retroactive wages!! When I read this...." Mayor Drew Dilkens said council was obligated by contract to carry out the non-union salary review and was taken aback when he saw the numbers in the report." Of course he was "taken aback", I'm sure all he could see were $$dollar signs$$, like a little kid reaching into a jar of special treats!!! How much more do we have to pay now??? I like many others are getting gouged enough and not seeing the any real benefits. We'd all be "taken aback" if we received retro payback for our wasted tax dollars!!! Just my opinion, everyone has one!!!

Looking for any witnesses that were on Walker Rd around 3-4 pm on March 1. Transport truck rolled backwards into my truck and started to drive away. He is now claiming that he did not do this. I know this is a long shot but any help would be appreciated. The police are involved, I just need some help proving he rolled back into me. This was around the time that Chrysler's gets out of work for shift time. Between Somme and Grand Marais light's. Thank you in advance!!

Cops have been called twice now on 2 males 13 to 15 years of age in the 3300 block of Bliss road banging on doors, throwing stuff at cars and going car to car checking for ones that are unlocked to help themselves to whatever. They were chased back in December and also caught at Walker Homesite park inside a construction truck that had been parked overnight innocently in the lot. This most recent occurrence was in the early morning hours of March 1st where they think it's funny to harass elderly people who are not in the best health. They are being caught on video surveillance too so it will be just a matter of time. These incidents can be verified by confirmation with Windsor Police so everyone needs to keep an eye out. They normally walk from trails behind Blairwood Crescent, up Seymour Ave., and down 3300, 3400 blocks of Bliss. They definitely are from the area and we need to identify them and their parents definitely need to be made aware of what angels they're raising.

I was on the 1c bus at Parent and Tecumseh at approx 8:50pm and a young girl (18-20 yrs) was sitting and a young man approx same age stole her purse and ran right off the bus. She was sitting in front of the back doors so it was easy for him to grab it. She immediately ran after him. They were running North down Parent Ave. The bus driver contacted the police and they are looking. I am just hoping that someone knows this man or what happened. Please report it to the police. They are currently looking for him. They police will be obtaining the videos from the bus. So you will be caught! Turn yourself in!!!

I woke up to this email in the middle of the night, CRA does not send anyone e- transfers EVER. It's looks very legitimate and I can see many people falling for it. I've reported it to both CRA and my email provider. Please be aware this is a SCAM!!

Monday morning at 6am the phone rang and woke me up out of a sound sleep. A lady told me that a purchase was made on e bay for 300 dollars. She told me it raised a red flag and did not allow the transaction to be completed. I had trouble understanding her indian accent and she became frustrated with me and hung up. I did contact my credit card provider, they told me that this was the latest scam going around in order to retrieve your credit card information. I stayed in bed, so my card information remained safe.
Do not fall for this scam BE AWARE!!!

To the woman in Freshco today who threw a temper tantrum while the cashier sent someone to check a price on an item that scanned wrong, shame on you!
While the .29 cents is not a big deal to you, you are not in my shoes right now! What you dont know is those few groceries I had in my cart were all carefully calculated with the little bit of money I had. What you dont know is I am desperately trying to not lose my house, my car and keep food on the table for my kids. What you dont know is I havent been sleeping at night, Ive been trying to hide my worries from my children and trying to just keep our heads above water.
What you didnt know is my entire life! I am sorry that it inconvenienced you but yelling at me, throwing your groceries around and telling me how pathetic I am was uncalled for. Thank you for making me feel like a worse parent than I already do. I hope your hours are never cut at work or you ever fall on hard times!
