Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the 3 thieves at Giant Tiger on Tec. Rd E around 1 pm this afternoon you've been spotted. Thanks to people like you our tax dollars go up. I sure hope you teach your little ones, including the one you're expecting some better morals and values. It may not seem like a big deal but that towel you stole didn't belong to you and every time there's a theft our tax dollars go up. Oh and just so you know, something was mentioned to the cashier.
Hey Jesse Jee of Windsor. You have been spotted. I gave you 80$ back in March to be a member of your beach volleyball team. We kept in touch through Facebook messaging and you said we would be playing on Friday nights at Dirty Jersey's starting in May. When I messaged you at the beginning of May to see when we would start, you told me that the Friday league was cancelled and that we would play either Sundays or Wednesdays and that you would let me know. After a couple weeks of radio silence, I message you to ask when exaclty we would be playing/ starting. You said you were still unsure. I told you that I would just take my money back and you agreed to meet up. You said you would get back to me with a time and place. You never did. This happened 2 more times where you said you would message me back with an ETA on my money and you never did. Now, when I send a message to you, there are no replies at all! Not sure what kind of person you were raised to be, but I will tell you right now that it is not right to treat people this way. As I have said before, I could really use this money, but clearly you feel that you have a much better use for it.
To the woman in the white SUV, with long dark hair, who first of all nearly clipped the front end of my silver truck when you made a left turn near Pete's Restaurant in Belle River and proceeded to honk your horn and flip me the bird when I yelled at you to get off your phone.....you have been spotted.....apparently again because this isn't the first time you have used your phone while driving. My boyfriend has seen you do the same thing but while weaving all over the road. I hope to God that you use a Bluetooth (which btw you can get free when getting a phone at times) before you end up getting into an accident and/ or hurting or killing someone. I also hope I never see you on the phone while driving again because I will report you :)
Last night May 28 on Janette 1200 block my car 300M broken into. Left change in door. stole wallet with $35 All my ID and one of very few pics of my father who passed away when i was 4. Car parked in driveway.. If anyone see's this wallet please contact me all i care is for ID and that pic back.
I spotted a silver Kia driving 70 plus south on Walker rd licence *** *** swearing in and out of traffic texting not wearing a seat belt and sliding it on before passing the police at Grand Marias and Walker rd where and accident happened 45 mins prior to this. You need to realize you are not the only person on the road and to follow the rules of the road or you will be the next accident lI feel sorry that you have no respect for human life or other drivers on the road, you are the type that won't learn til you are in a serious car accident yourself.
Spotted once again ridiculous amounts of construction on Wyandotte. Is it really necessary to block off 6 continuous blocks of one of the main city roads at once? Has anyone considered what it is like for the disabled or elderly to walk an extra 6 blocks to catch a bus? Not to mention it literately happens overnight so everyone is caught off guard and ends up missing the bus they were trying to take in the first place. What ever happened to detours or at the very least some notification that you are about to be taken 6 blocks past where you need to go! Better planning needs to happen by the city, these construction companies and transit Windsor. Lord knows we pay enough for public transit and it's mediocre (at best) service. Is it really that hard to have up to the minute information on a site or app somewhere?
Our local Windsor Parking Enforcement was spotted today on a residential street ticketing a neighbour that had just returned home from work and didn't pull up enough in the driveway, therefore covering 1/ 3 of the sidewalk. The parking enforcement "guy" parked in front of a fire hydrant and proceeded to the home. When neighbours confronted him about his illegal parking, his response was. "see this badge (patch on his arm), this gives me the right to park where ever i want" The vehicle was also unattended and running the entire time. Maybe the parking commission should practice what they preach. " Do I say NOT as I Do"
If anyone notices a friend or neighbour with a newer used lawn mower, Canadian tire, yard works, dark green, with a broken but possibly fixed by now pull cord, with wobbly wheels, please notify the police. Last week an elderly gentleman, a friend of my mom's, gave it to me. He bought the lawnmower last year, and since his health has declined, and he can no longer cut his grass, knowing I'm a single mom, and didn't have a lawnmower, he gave it to me, but not before he gave it a tune up, oil chage, cleaned it, and filled it with gas! Today I looked in my backyard, and noticed the lawnmower is gone. I took it out Tuesday to cut the grass and I accidentally broke the pull cord, and have just been waiting for a friend to fix it. It was stolen out of my shed. I live on Hall ave, if someone in the area knows anything please call the police as I did make a report!
