Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
On Sunday I was visiting someone at the Old Windsor Jail, it was disgusting to say the least. Visitors room has not been cleaned in months and there were bugs crawling everywhere. Apparently its even worse on the inside, they have rats and mice running around and an epidemic of Lice. They served these prisoners food for a week knowingly there is lice in the kitchen, several complaints were made and the kitchen is now shut down. Their laundry has not been done in two weeks and sheets from their beds have not been changed in three weeks. Just because some have made bad choices in life does not mean they have to live like animals. Health Board has now been called by several friends and family members of these inmates. Pretty bad when the jail guards tell the inmates that they have to burn their clothes when their shift ends. Pathetic society we live in, no one should have to live like that. Not inmates Not workers! I am definitely not stating that these men and women need to be treated with royalty, I am however saying they are human beings and should be treated as such.

Spotted...I wish I knew who you were, Love the hair!
I don't know if the employee's don't care about customer service and repping their store.... but this has got to be the worst Tim Horton's I've ever visited!!! Every time I go there I'm always waiting at least 10 minutes for my drink and it's usually wrong -.- Unfortunately it's the closest Tim Horton's to my work but I'm going to start visiting another one cause I'm tired of them messing up and in the end, my drink/ food doesn't even taste good!! Done wasting my money at your store.
To the two girls who decided to go out for dinner at East Side Marios with two young kids at 8-9pm if your kids cant handle being out past their bed time or act like that on a regular basis you should order in and eat at home!!! Your kids were completely out of control yelling and screaming and bouncing around!!! But thats not the part thats disturbing u hade zero control when ur friend eventually tried to get one of your children to behave you then said to her thats not going to get you anywhere she will just start spitting at you!!! I understand that kids will be kids and kids act up but your lack of control was most disturbing!!! I was also with two young children one an infant the other 6 and yes my child got loud once or twice but I have respect for the other paying good money for their dinners out... So me I told my child how he is expected to act(even before leaving for the restaurant) and after warning number one made it quite clear that I would have no problem packing up our meals and taking him home to finish if he couldnt behave and that we would not return to eating at restaurants until he could behave at them!! Imagine that the inappropriate behavior stopped immediately as my child knows I will not tolerate it and im serious!!!
bottom line if u cant control ur kids stay home the rest of Windsor should have to suffer a migraine due to ur lack of control and respect for others!!!
We hosted a Japanese girl for the past two weeks. It was a huge joy and pleasure.
Tonight we celebrated and watched her graduate from the ESL program. The 70 students were in tears and very emotional to say goodbye to their new Canadian families. They sang and danced and showed us their projects and some had traditional dress on it was wonderful. The only problem is the 2 women in front of us. Blonde hair, 30's one in black top one in white top with sunglasses on your heads. TALKING THROUGH THE WHOLE CEREMONY... yeah.. boyfriends working with the class maybe? ESL teachers perhaps? you HAD to be there? There's no way you were host mama's or you would have shown respect to these girls and all their hard work. To their teachers, to the volunteers. What a shame we had to hear about your personal crap throughout the entire ceremony. NO, we couldn't move because our host child kept her eye on us the entire time and we didn't want to upset her if she looked up and couldn't see us. YES, we wanted to tell you to shut up but you couldn't hear us over your own voices. Next time stay at home and wait for your hard working boyfriends' possibly husbands to complete their journey and talk all you want. You ruined our night but we'll never tell our girl that. You've been SPOTTED and HEARD....
To the mother of the seven year old girl who stole from EB Games, I understand that it is not easy being a parent let alone being the parent of a child with a disability (or so you say, I do not know and will not assume). However I must point out to you that regardless of your child's possible social unawareness it is your duty as a mother to watch over her and to raise her properly. Instead you use this disability as a crutch and rather than returning the stolen property from which it came, you remained in The Source buying a cell phone. I can see you have your priorities all sorted out so I feel I don't need to say anything.
When I found your daughter and saw you do nothing about returning the stolen property I decided to wait in the hallway for security to arrive so that they can make sure the property is returned and that the situation is dealt with, however it needed to be. I did this so that if you decided to leave that I can then tell security where you went so they can talk to you.
And to accuse me of harassment for simply keeping an eye on you while I waited for security to arrive, let me make myself clear; I do not know you. I do not trust you. I have no reason to believe you when you tell me that you will return the item, especially when you are more worried about a new cell phone and not the fact that your child just did a bad thing that, if she was older, would be a criminal offence. As I have said, I do not know you. You may just as well have left the store with the figurines to later give back to the child as if to say “I know you stole, but that's okay, here go play”.
All of this would have been avoided had you been watching your children. As I have said, your daughter was caught stealing from a store, separate from the one you were in. I don't blame your daughter, especially if she does have a disability you stated she has, as it can be marked by lack of understanding of social rules and boundaries. However, this is extremely dangerous as not only does this open them to doing something bad such as stealing, but what makes it scarier is that anyone could have picked her up and left with her. Don't blame me for your mistake.
Use this as a teachable moment to discuss with your children right from wrong as opposed to what you did today at the mall (which was that when they do something bad it's not their fault, it's the fault of the person catching them and that Mommy will defend your deplorable behaviour).
Signed, The bad guy who caught your thieving kid!
Spotted these people not only parked in a handicap area but the lady in the front passenger seat was throwing her garbage outside the Window with her kids in the back. Perfect example to set for your kids. In front of Tim Horton in walker beside Applebee's
