Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I just wanted to thank the two men who were walking by my car at Yorktown Plaza on Saturday and helped me & my friend change our flat tire! It was greatly appreciated that you took the time to come over a few times to give us pointers and then ended up helping us once we had the flat tire off. Your assitance and knowledge was great appreciated!!!!!! :D
if you were outside today, you know that the weather was into the 80's and very humid.today of all days is not a good day to run out of gas especially being almost 6 months pregnant. I always keep a gas can in my car for such emergencies like this and my husband took it out for some reason a while ago( thanks honey).of course having a cell phone helps but not when nobody's answering their phone. I finally got ahold of my sister and of course by this time I was crying. after about 15 minutes one of the construction workers doing construction on the new Expressway Near Ojibway came over and asked if I needed some help. I held back my tears and told him my situation, he then said he'd go see if any of the other workers had a gas can. My sister , still on the phone with me was getting ready to pack up 3 kids into her van to come help me at this point so we were both hoping that there would be a gas can and a possible ride to the gas station. A few minutes later the man returned with not only a gas can but a FULL gas can. He poured the gas into the tank for me and waited to make sure it started. He refused any payment and told me to get my butt to a gas station. I was so overwhelmed with the joy of knowing people like that are still out there that I cryed the whole way to the gas station. So to the worker that helped me and the one who gave up the gas, I just want you to know that you truly made a pregnant lady's day. Thank you so very much!
I love shopping at the HALLMARK store at the TECUMSEH mall in Windsor. Lisa, the manager is always friendly and helpful. Today she went above and beyond while making sure I was able to complete my CHARLIE BROWN monthly ornament collection.
LISA.... you've been spotted !!!
Signed,
Snoopy and me
I left a tomato for Gary the Grounhog, not only did he eat it, but he came up to the camera and gave it a sniff or two.
I am looking for anyone who knows KIMBERLEY VERDUN BAKER.I know she lived on tecumseh rd e in 1991. i would greatly appreciate finding her if anyone knows where she is. Please please contact me.
To the captains of Striper and Snafu III: thank you so much for towing our broken down pontoon in Lake St Clair near St. Joachim on the afternoon of June 1. Thank you for taking time out of your afternoon to help the helpless!! Not sure what we would have done without you.
I was with my kids shopping at Walmart. There was a guy walking with his cart towards us in the aisle. He was still a good 30 feet but we were both on our own sides. He hit one of the racks and it caused a couple shirts to fall on the ground. He stopped looked back but then just continued to walk. A lady behind him I assume didn't notice at first but pushed her cart right over them. She Also stopped and noticed her cart tires on them but just adjusted her cart and kept walking. As I was working my way over to that side I noticed a third lady with her daughter in hand stop pick up the 3 shirts and hang them up again so they didn't get dirty and walked on in the middle of the aisle. I want that lady to know she has been spotted for caring and showing people around her it only takes a few seconds to stop and pick up something you dropped instead of just walking and leaving it. I'm sure you are a kind person.
My husband and I would like to acknowledge the restaurant Lone Star Texas Grill on Walker Rd. We had a great time our server was JR and he was the best server we have ever had in Windsor in a long time. He sat down at our booth, took time with us, answered our questions, helped us pick our meals and he made sure it was done with the modifications that were required and so much more. The service was fantastic, our experience was great, wonderful food and lots of it.
The Manager Blaze came by also sat down and had a chat with us.
We will be talking and recommending this restaurant to everyone. We can't wait to go back with our kids and request a table in JR's section. Thanks again for ALL that you did for us
