Your positive attitude and bright red shoes have been spotted!

Just have to say an extra thank you to Mike who helped me this evening at Costco.
I purchased a weight set and needed a hand loading into my car.
Without skipping a beat he immediately said he could help when I asked. Walked to my car with me and even helped with the other heavy items. I repeatedly said thanks and he responded happily with 'that's what we are here for!'

Please share as OPP ask for the publics help

The Ontario Provincial Police in Tecumseh needs the public s help spotting a man after a boy riding his bike was approached in the area of Brighton Rd. and Tecumseh Rd. Sunday.

The man was driving a white, full-size GMC van with windows on the sides and rear. There were no markings on the van, but it appeared to have a rack inside housing tools.

The man is described as:

- 5 9 with a medium build and lighter brown skin, possibly of East Indian descent

- had a round face with narrow features and a boxy Marine-type haircut

- wearing a dark short-sleeve t-shirt and possibly blue jogging pants.

Anyone who has information about the man or the van is asked to call Detective Constable Christian Cortese at the Essex County OPP Crime Unit at 519-723-2491, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Cheering me on

To the young woman who cheered as I ran by her and her friend at the river tonight. I just wanted to say thank you, I was encouraged to finish my run strong and keep going despite being tired. Something as small as that cheer really helped to put a smile on my face an encourage me to continue running.

I've always been very prideful about my stance on how I viewed the human race for their ability to ignore those who they didn't know or were not close to because of many reasons. Be it lack of time in one's day for concern or the fear of the unknown which maybe the news is very good at making people feel like their good actions towards others may only be rewarded with heartache. But tonight someone of which I never did get their name had taken 45mins of their night, not really knowing who I was, while on a date with their girlfriend/ wife(?0, just to return my wallet which had dropped out of the car. This person didn't take any reward that I offered but only my praise and gratitude. Grand respect and thanks goes out to this gentleman for not only returning my wallet but for also renewing my faith that there are still people who through their selfless acts make this world that much more wonderful to live in. Thank you sir, you've been spotted!

Touching Sign of Respect

This is for all those "spotted" yesterday (Sat Sept 6) who pulled over or stopped in their vehicles for a brief time while the funeral procession I was part of was en route to lay our loved one to rest. Young and old, families, those in work vehicles...you all had somewhere to go on a busy Saturday morning, but you took a moment out of your busy schedules to pause and show a sign of respect for a complete stranger and his family. It was so touching - I think I cried more in the car during the procession than the rest of the day. My family from out of town was shocked at what was happening, and we felt such pride in our fellow Windsorites. I don't know if this is a Windsor or a "small town" thing, but what an incredibly heart warming act. "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." -Leo Buscaglia Thank you, Windsor, for your small act of caring.
