Big Thanks to Lynn @ Dr. Lenna Morgan's Office

The other day I had an appointment with our pediatrician for my three small children. I went to the appointment by myself, thinking I could handle all three of them by myself. They are 3 (with autism), 2, and 4 months.

I loaded our strolled with the diaper bag, my purse, car seat, and sleeping baby. I pushed that with one hand and held hands with the bigger two boys with my other hand. It was slow crossing the parking lot but we made it. We got in to the lobby of the building and - nightmare - the elevator was broken.

I called upstairs to Dr. Morgan's office to advise them that we were in the building early but would be late for our appointment because I had to find a way to bring all three young kids and all of our stuff up the stairs, while somehow not leaving anyone unattended at any given time.

Lynn was very understanding and insisted on coming downstairs to give me a hand. She asked the main floor pharmacy staff to stash my stroller, and then carried my two year old and held hands with my three year old to walk up the stairs, while I carried the baby in his car seat, the diaper bag and my purse - all the way up the stairs, down the hall, and in to the office.

When our appointment was over, Lynn again helped me round up the boys, and brought us back to the elevator, which had been fixed. She got in with us anyway, and stayed with me, providing help until we located our stroller and got the baby settled in. She made sure I would be okay to make it back to the car before she went back upstairs.

I'm not sure how I would have been able to do that without Lynn's help, and I'm so thankful to her for going above and beyond her job description to help me out. Dr. Morgan is lucky to have such a great team. Thank you again Lynn - your kindness has been spotted! :)

Some amazing people with a HUGE heart

I would like to send a BIG shout out to the many people who participated in the search of a beautiful chocolate lab that was hit by a car and bolted from fright! She spent 3 days on the run, eventually was spotted and an organized group from the FB page Lost and Found Pets of Windsor and Essex County, gathered at a nearby business to spend their Thanksgiving Day, searching on foot through corn fields and mud til they finally find her. Although very frightened, bruised and with minor cuts, it looks like shes going to be ok. Special thanks to Nala Bear and Baxter Bob Clark for their organization of this search and their sincere interest in running a page much needed to help the public with problems such as this! Again, WTG to all involved in this incredible ordeal!

People Helping People

This is a couple weeks overdue but I've finally figured out how to share. A couple weeks ago, my dog got out. She never, ever runs off from me but she did this particular day, up and down the street, in front of a truck...everywhere. As I was trying eveything possible to get her to come to me, she only ran further. A woman in her car stopped to help, and 3 other people came out of their houses wih dog treats and to help me. To these people who helped me get my dog back (on Edward Street at St Rose), thank you so much. I was panicking big time and you all were amazing and helped so much!

100's of Monarch Butterflies

I was at Point Pelee the other day and I spotted 1000's of Monarch Butterflies.

We were filming them fluttering around, when something startled the group and they all took flight at once.

This time last year "Experts" were saying they were in danger of becoming extinct.
