Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
tonight i had to go to the emergency room and i just wanted to give them a shout out because although we wanted to be out on st. patricks day, we were stuck in the hospital. I wanted to say thank you very very much for you great care, and service. You did an amazing job being kind, and getting me in and out as fast as possible. I hear all the time, people giving you guys a hard time, and I felt that It would be nice for you guys to receive something positive. Happy St.Patrick's Day.
To the man that found my brothers wallet in the downtown area , thank you soooo much ! This man took this wallet to police station , fully intact with all his cards , identification and money . My brother doesn't go out a lot and was at a friends house celebrating st. Paddy day . They decided to take a walk and he realized when he got back that he had lost his wallet somewhere . He was out retracing his steps when the police called him to let him know his wallet had been turned in . We definitely will be paying this good deed for word ! Thank you again
About 3 years ago, a man found my wallet around the Canadian Tire area on Walker Rd and drove it all the way to my house in LaSalle. It was full of cash that I had needed to pay a bill with. At the time that he came to my house, I hadn't even realized that my wallet had gone missing yet. I was so confused and shocked that I didn't even think to offer him a reward and I probably didn't seem as thankful as I should have been. This has bothered me for years and I would love to say thank you to this man and offer him a reward. Please reply if you read this.
I just want to take this opportunity to recognize a very special woman.
This past August, my son was born.
This was one of the happiest days of my life. It was also one of the scariest.
My wife had to endure a very intense labour. She was forced to push for hours, and I have never witnessed such strength in person. I felt so utterly helpless, as I could do nothing but hold her hand.
Finally, the doctor was able to pull our baby out. Such joy!
Overwhelmed with emotion, my wife and I cried as she held our first child on her chest. While the staff tended to my wife, I couldn't help but stare at my son. But then I noticed something. His colour seemed a bit off. I called for our nurse. She grabbed his arm. It was limp. She picked him up, and his body was limp.
That's when our nurse sprung into action. I intentionally shielded my wife's view because I didn't want her to see what I was seeing. Our nurse then began to go to work on my son. I saw tubes being shoved down his limp body. That's when I had to turn away. Then I hear them call a code pink over the speaker system. Nurses and doctors start rushing in. One of the happiest moments of my life had just taken a turn for the worse.
Finally, I heard crying. I have never been so happy to hear a baby cry. My son was back!
I just want everyone to know, that the Nurses name at Windsor Regional Hospitals name was Sherri. I truly believe that she was an angel, guarding my son that day. You can go to the movies and pay big bucks to watch a fictional hero, but believe me, they are among us.
Each and every time I look at my son, I'm filled with such love and happiness, and I'm reminded of Sherri.
I hope you received our card and gift card, but nothing can repay you for the gift you have given us!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You are amazing at what you do, and an incredible human being! You have been spotted!
I was coming out of Target today with my two daughters 4 and 1. We were crossing the street when my daughter's Dollar Store bag and her money blew away in the wind. I was trying to push the stroller across the road and reassure her we could try to get it. When a man jumped out of his car to track it down as it blew farther an farther away. He caught it and brought it back to her! You have been spotted!!! Thank you so much for your kindness!!! My daughter has been telling our whole family about the super man who saved the day!
My son makes bracelets. Easy task for most. Well he is four and on the autism spectrum. For beads, he fell hard. :) the other night after hearing about people abandoning art, he wanted to make some people smile. At Rcss walker, my son ran up to two ladies working the evening shift, smiled and handed them bracelets, then ran away. Thank you, both ladies. My son has been ecstatic about this for two days now. It's been three weeks since we started his company and he loves it. #FoundedatFour
Thank you to the gracious woman who helped me locate my 2 year old son in front of The Bay in Devonshire Mall today. I want to let you know I found him and he is ok. I was so panicked that I didn't get a chance thank you. I appreciate your kindness! You've Been spotted ;)
I was not even aware that I had lost my purse. I came home after my midnight shift and went to bed. I woke up around 11 and my daughter was sitting on the sofa. When she noticed me walking down she said "mom your friend said you forgot your purse and brought it back." I was shocked and asked what do you mean? She said a gentleman came to the door today at 9am and asked for me by name and said that he is bringing my purse back. I was in shock and asked her where my purse was. I looked inside and everything was in there, I am not even sure where I left it. I had my change purse with me at work but my wallet and purse I thought were in my truck. Turns out I must have left it somewhere and forgot it. I wish my daughter thought to ask the man’s name but she thought it was just a co-worker and I knew they were dropping it off. So to the man in the Blue BMW that dropped a purse off on parent ave, please reach out to me because I have a reward for you. I am not sure if you even looked through my wallet except to check for my ID but I had a lot of cash in it for rent. The fact you brought it back without wanting anything in return is amazing. Please share in hopes this reaches him. Please post below.
