I wanted to thank all the people that have been so supportive these last couple days. My son needs a medical helmet to correct the shape of his head, our insurance does not cover the $2600 fee, we reached out on social media and asked for help and the response has been overwhelming! My family feels so blessed to live in a community that is filled with such kind and caring people. Thank you to all who have donated, said kind words, given suggestions, and shared our fundraiser!

Just felt the need to post how thoughtful the young man was when I took my 5 year old daughter in with me to pay for my gas. As we were leaving he told her that she could choose one item in the store for free. This made her night! We don't buy a lot of junk food in our house and it was so sweet of him. Loved watching her light up :)

To the woman in the red car and gentleman driving the Harley Davidson on Riverside and Glengarry today at about2:30, I would like to thank you so much for your concern when the man in the black Ford Fusion almost killed me on my Black Kawasaki Ninja. There are still good people in the world whom care about fellow citizens no matter what they drive/ ride. I greatly appreciate the compassion, I am however sorry that I couldn't communicate, I was in shock and terrified at what had just happened, but Thank you and thank God for people like you we need more of you in the world!

In Devonshire mall yesterday with both my kids for 3 hours yesterday both kids under 5. Saw thr same officer many times. He took the time to stop and play with my kids and high 5 them and it made my daughters day. Didn't get a chance to get his name. But love how there is still good cops out there. #copscare #spottedinwindsor @devonshiremall

A huge pat on the back goes to the owners of Ristorante Avanti (Hall/ Ottawa). This past week, a fellow patron began to choke during the dinner service. It soon became obvious that the situation was serious. Thanks to the quick thinking of one of the owners, Dan, the woman was able to walk out of the restaurant, a little sore but alive and well. Way to go, sir! You can now add 'hero' to your list of accomplishments!

My son is flying to Vancouver today on his first solo flight. While getting his things together we discovered his cell phone was no longer charging. With 2 hours until his flight was to leave we ran up to the Wind store at Tecumseh mall. They were very busy so I was getting a bit frantic while we waited for our turn. Once we got to the desk I explained our situation and Brian very quickly took action. He said he would find a way to get him a phone and did so within a few minutes, ensuring it worked properly and had his contacts in it before we left the store. Thank you, Brian, for providing such excellent service.
