If only everyone was that nice....

I just wanted to take the time to recognize the very nice man who helped me at Costco today. As I was beginning to check out, my cart full of groceries, my 7 month old son STARTED to melt down. You see, it was around 3pm and my baby had missed his nap. Trying to avoid a screaming scene, I choose to pick my baby up, that left me with one hand to load my purchases. The man behind me, came right up and started helping.. He was just so thoughtful and understanding. Instead of getting frustrated and angry he helped me and made my day so much nicer and my afternoon so much more pleasant. He reloaded my cart while I paid and then bid me a good day!!!!! I hope he or his family or friends see this.. I just wanted him to know what a difference he made in my day and to thank him for his random act of kindness and for him to know, his thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

True Customer Service!

So I woke up this morning with a migraine... leave for work late, get a breakfast sandwich at Tim's, arrive at work to find that my sandwich has nothing on it! I kept my cool, but called the store, so at least I could get a free one next time and to my surprise, the manager Rosa, said she was leaving right now to bring me a new one! I thought that was way above and beyond! I know I'm only down the street from them, but for her to do that was just awesome! Kudos Dougall Store, you care about your customers and you've been spotted!

Good karma to you, kind sir!

To the handsome fellow in the white GMC Yukon in the Tim Hortons drive through on Tecumseh Road West, Tuesday, October 6th at around 10:40am;

Thank you so very much for the lovely and unexpected surprise....you paid for my breakfast, and it completely made my day! I have heard of people doing nice things like that for others, but that was the first time somebody has done something like that for me. You put a smile on my face and a spring in my step today! I hope somebody treats you to something thoughtful very soon, and I'm going to make sure to do an extra something thoughtful for somebody else today to honour your kindness. Thank you again! Have a wonderful day!

The friendly hairdresser

Yesterday I took my sons for a haircut at first choice on corner of bsnwell and Tecumseh rd. This very nice hairdresser cut my 2 year olds hair while another one worked on my 7 year old. I didn't bother to say anything, but my 7 year old has autism and really struggles with haircuts...everything about them scares him, the sound of the scissors, the trimmers, the feeling of his hair being cut..so I always cut his hair to best of my ability at home....my son wouldn't allow the hairdresser to trim the overgrown hair around his ears and neck...the hairdresser who cut my two year olds hair heard me trying to convince the 7 year old to finish cut ...she was amazing with him...very reassuring and kind...she let him touch the clippers before she used them which helped calm my sons worries...and she managed to finish his haircut.....that was a huge moment for him...although it may have seemed small...so I just wanted to let everyone know about this amazing experience. Thank you to the hairdresser at first choice on banwell and Tecumseh...I didn't catch her name but she had cool tatoo on forearm with a blowdryer and scissors .....thank you!!

To the wonderful woman that got the license of the hit and run of our van.

Last Sunday our van was parked on Tec rd while my husband was in the store. We were informed someone side-swiped it and kept going. A wonderful lady came in after and said she followed the van until she got the license. A very big thank you. If we didn't know who hit it then we would have had to pay $250 deductible which we don't have right now.I am on sick leave and my husband is retired. We just got a chance to get a loan for this van which is a 2010 last month. You don't know how greatful we are and that there should be more people like you. Sorry we didn't get your name.Thanks

Tiny Paws Small Animal Rescue......to the rescue!

This local, non profit rescue, is at full capacity at this time, and in debt with expensive vet trips recently and with a waiting list, but when Jen heard about this little guy, she had to take him in. Poor little soul was in pain, with major dental problems and infected eye and needs vet care urgently.

Kerby was brought over to their veterinarian today, and are awaiting results, but he is now in good hands and will receive proper health care. He will require a medical assessment and will most likely need x-rays, antibiotics and dental surgery.

Kudos to Jen, who is always there for these little ones. Her rescue is a very much needed resource in Essex County.

Any donations to help with Kerby's vet bills would be greatly appreciated.
E-transfers are easy and can be sent to tinypawssmallanimalrescue.gmail.com or PayPal is available on their website and Facebook page.
