Spotted : To my dad, a man who has the ability to make everything right with a simple story. I recently went through a tough loss and have been very depressed. My best friend of many years passed away. I didn't want to be around anyone or talk to anyone this holiday season. My dad flew in from italy just to sit with me to help me through this rough time. "Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow." Dad you left back home and even though you are so far away I still feel you are right next to me.

To my friend of 33 years, I love you more then anything. I know you are looking down upon me and making sure I keep on the right path. Your kids will be my number 1 priority, and I will make sure they never forget their mother. A friend, daughter and mother, one of the best at all three. You would care for anyone and everyone as if they were your own. You would go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure others had a smile on their face. You showed me and so many others what true loyalty is, and how to become it. Your mark that you left on me and everyone you touched will always be there, you can be sure of that.

Don't take anyone for granted, love, forgive and live! Life can be taken away just like that.

Until we meet again my friend, you have been spotted.

To one of the Conveners in the Hockey for Hospice Tournament, a thank you for noticing and correcting a complete goof-up on the score sheet at our game in Lasalle for the semi finals yesterday, where the time keeper wrote in the score of our double overtime victory incorrectly, falsely giving our opponents the victory and putting us out of the tournament wrongfully. Nice heads up play Mr Convener! You caught it, corrected it and we ultimately went on to win the Atom C Championship Thanks for having your head in the game!

I spotted this story and wanted to share.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less from people but more from yourself.

You have two choices... smile and close this page,
or pass this along to someone else to share the lesson
