Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Spotted : While out for sushi today I saw the most fantastic thing. In a day where dads are always being bad mouthed,I saw two dads with their baby daughters having lunch. It just melted my heart. Kudos to all the great dads out there!!!!
Spotted : To all the giving Walker road Home Depot associates who donated $400 of there own hard earned money at our Christmas party. The cash went to the Downtown mission and is surely going to fill some shelves and belly's. You all have been spotted and I couldn't work with a better bunch of people everyday!
Spotted : I would like to say thank you to the young man who found my mother and helped her get home safely at 5 this morning, she believes his name is and she says she is very grateful for your assistance! thank you for helping her like you did, we've had a string of not so good luck lately, and you helped us see there are good people out there still

A shout out to all those in the service industry this holiday season!
To all the servers, bartenders, bussers, hosts/ hostesses, barbacks, cooks, chefs, dishwashers, and managers...hold in there's only 26 more days! We got this!
And more importantly to all of our customers... Please realize that during the holiday season we don't drink, eat, or sleep. Many of us pull doubles to work your family dinners, holiday parties, and other events. Many of us are also finishing our semesters and in exams. Others have their own children and family celebrations. We love our jobs and our goal is to give you a memorable experience with your friends and family but please remember that those who are working to ensure you have an enjoyable night out are people too. Be kind, treat us with dignity, and if you enjoyed your evening let us know because everyone likes to know they've done a good job.
Happy Holidays!
Signed,
A server who loves the season, the people she gets to work with, and more importantly awesome customers!
Hello Windsor!
The English as a Second Language (ESL) department at St. Clair College has gathered treasures for gift boxes that we are going to send to Canadian troops that are stationed overseas at Christmas.
It was fun to shop for the items, compare with each other about what we bought and then gather and send them out.
5 large boxes will be sent off
We included things like playing cards, chocolate, candy, toiletries and Christmas scented air fresheners.
I have enclosed the pictures...in case you want to add these to the page!!
We are hoping that this will become an annual event with other schools joining in the fun of giving!!
