Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Thank you to the person who found my wallet and turned it in to lost& found at walmart on Dougall Tuesday evening.
This spotting of a good deed in Windsor comes a couple of weeks late but couldn't be left unacknowledged! I work as a paramedic in the city and in the course of a long night shift managed to lose my wallet along the way. I didn't realize I had lost my wallet until leaving work in the morning. Needless to say I was worried sick when I discovered my wallet missing and immediately set to retracing my steps throughout the previous shift which is no small feat for a medic as we tend to roam over a great area. I didn't have much hope of finding my wallet but I had to try something after a search of my base, ambulance and personal vehicle turned up nothing. Just when I was about to give up hope I received a call from our dispatchers who had been in touch with a kind citizen that had my wallet! A young man had been delivering papers and stumbled upon my wallet in one of the neighbourhoods we had attended to a patient in. I went straight to this young man's home and met with his mother who had gone out of her way to reunite me with my wallet early in the morning knowing how concerned I must be. My wallet was completely intact including some cash. I tried to offer the woman a modest reward of the cash in my wallet for her son who she had obviously done a great job raising but she refused repeatedly. This kind woman and her honest son had saved me untold expenses and headaches by getting my wallet back to me and didn't expect anything but the satisfaction of helping a stranger. In a profession that leads me to see things that sometimes challenge my faith in humanity it was great to get a reminder that kindness and generosity are still alive and well in Windsor.
Windsor Police Service, you have been spotted in Forest Glade!!! Such a nice thing to see early every morning when I look out my window while all the children are waiting for busses and walking to school, you patrol our area and make sure they are safe!! Way to go!
To the guy who was working at Naples Pizza in Tecumseh last night, you're still my favourite person for giving us two boxes.. :)
Not to mention, I've had nothing but amazing, fast and friendly service from everyone at that location, it feels wrong to order pizza from any other place but there!
I want to send a BIG thank you to all the girls that work at Salon B for holding a fundraising event on April 12th 4-7pm Shampoo and style! They are taking the time out to help support a team from Windsor that are participating in this years Southern Ontario Amazing Race. Funds that are raised go to The Children's Foundation! So thank you again Salon B for all the support and generosity that you have show us!!

I found a phone on the ground at the corner of Ottawa Street and Lincoln Road. It was dropped but nobody has called it.
To the guy at Landsberry park today around 6 - 730 pm (I think that's the time) with his 5 year old daughter your name you told me was Damien. I was to shy to ask you for your number myself but had my friend ask you to get your number for me. You told her you look forward to hear from me and that you couldn't get enough courage to ask me for my number. You also said to her that you live in that area. I guess I got the number wrong cause when I text the number it was the wrong number. I hope you see this or someone know you to show you this. And I get a hold of you again or see you at the park again. Think I'm about to head there every day now to find you again.
